Wiebe's Delicatessen — Local services in Alberta

We've been buying the Mennonite sausage for years, nothing could beat it, and until several months ago (like as late as July 2024, possibly even later) I would have stood by this and given a 5 star rating. We're in Calgary and we shop at the NE Family Foods grocery. The recipe has absolutely changed! I don't know what happened but instead of the traditional crumbly sausage I love, it is now closer to spam. It puffs up when it cooks and burns quickly, almost like the fat on a thick cut of bacon, the flavour isn't quite right, and it goes off before its time. What went wrong? I can only hope that things go back to how they were. I'm so disappointed! UPDATE: It's back to normal! I'm so relieved. I was living in sadness and decided to take another shot even though the last several times I've been disappointed. Now everything seems to be back to the way it was, I don't know if it was just several bad batches or what but...

I have been buying the mennonite sausage for over 30 years... even though it had new owners the recipe is very much the same.... exactly how I always remember it....packed full of flavor!!...We drove over three hours specially to buy the mennonite sausage and there was a lovely lady working, her name is Susana..... she makes the sausage... we chatted a bit about different ways to use it.
