I give them a 5 star for my experience... my experience so far for the past 2 years is very satisfying.... I have never been to the store to shop the fact I do not drive and it's out of my city as I am located in Richmond Hill, Gems is like jamaica at home for me as there is no Caribbean store in my area but can get a few little Caribbean stuffs at the supermarket... all my experience is by delivery which I appreciate alot 🙏 and delivery is spot on good service... I must say my meat and food provision I am indeed satisfied fresh always fresh , and I do not regret making Gems my Caribbean store for my Caribbean needs and I will continue to support you guys as long as ur place is in business not to mention I love my little free top up snack s oooo I would definitely recommend Gems to anyone I hope one day I can actually do instore shopping ..not to mention when it comes to easter .. the place I get my Jamaican bun and cheese.. good customer service while doing my online order really appreciate it thanks alot for ur service and continue the good...

I bought a pack of bulla cake there, the next day when I was about to eat it, I noticed that it was spoiled with green mold growing at the back of it. Returning the item, I lost my receipt, but it still had there company name with the price tag on it. The black lady with the glasses was so rude questioning me if I bought it from their store I provided proof of their price label in red on the bag which she was giving me a hard time. I even logged into my bank account to show her the 35.00 I spent the day before in her store and when I asked her how much each barrel outside cost, she told me 50.00 for the small and 80.00 for the big one. Then she looked angry and believed me and said take anything that adds up to 4.00. I have never experienced this kind of customer service in a "black" Caribbean store and it's sad because our own people make it just as bad and why people don't jump to support their business. I love to support black business, however this store has disappointed me several times. They are over priced and I know this because I buy the same items else where and they are far cheaper than the price they charge. I get it you have to make a profit, what kind of profit do you expect to make when you are cheating your customers. How do you expect them to return if you are overcharging them. The owner does not include prices for one. He pretends to be putting in a price and looks at you to see if you will pay or better yet if he senses your are not a carribean he jacks up the price. Lol its interesting that a business will go as far as he goes with competitors waiting to adjust their prices to service...
