I just had the best experience I've ever had at Walmart I had two employees help me the first was Damion I came in to buy a 12 volt power wheels ride on vehicle for my two-year-old son's birthday tomorrow and I came from Hamilton with a Hyundai Elantra sedan LOL no not an SUV thinking that it would fit and hoping he was awesome he did all the measurements from the box then came outside with me to measure my car he helped me carry the box on a dolly to check out as well as all the way to my car he was going to try and make it work and get it to fit so I didn't have to return it and wait till I got a truck the following day hoping that it didn't get bought by then then out came Pringal who seen us and came to help us with getting it in my vehicle right away his first question was do you have an SUV LOL I said no then he's like which one's yours and he's like the sedan and I said yes he's like oh goodness it's not going to fit I have same car it's not going to fit and instead of giving instead of giving up and going thier ways to help me return it and then just go about there day INSTEAD pringal and damion asked me what if we take it out of the box ? And get it to fit ? And I'm thinking of course yeah why didn't I think of that that's perfect so we proceeded to take everything out of the box pringal is constantly making sure EVERYTHING is together and NOTHING gets lost . So we try to get it in and of course it won't fit cuz of the wheel because the body already came Assembled so then they decide let's take off the wheels then we'll definitely get it to fit again it is hot out it is almost 30 degrees okay in the humidity no shade and both these gentlemen are sending a half an hour to 45 minutes trying to make this birthday gift for my two-year-old son fit into my car . I couldn't believe it they went over and Beyond what was ever expected of any person let alone of their job to really make sure that my kid had his birthday gift damion he came in to the Walmart to get something to take the tires off and then they nicely laid down the box so the car would not get scratch to nicely take off the wheels both of them working together then damion grabed us 3 WATER yes water he got us all bottles of water ! Finally Pringal was able to get the rest of the wheels off and was making sure I took notes on how to get the tires back on correctly what tools to use and again making sure that everything was all together and nothing was missing or left behind we finally got it to fit I just couldn't believe the generosity and helpfulness that came from these two individuals I had to write a review on this because I've been to my share of Walmart so I spend thousands and thousands and thousands a year but never have I ever been treated with this kind of respect and helpfulness and just how they were genuinely willing to help without being asked and trying to do the unthinkable for my kids birthday gift I couldn't have had a better experience if I could give this more than five stars I would thank you so much you two guys for everything that you did you made my son dream come true and you got me the best vehicle and did I mention I needed to get this vehicle lol it was the last one in any Walmart in Ontario that I could find!!! Read moreI have been ordering my groceries online at this Walmart for 2 years now. Yes, sometimes my groceries are not ready at the beginning of the hour time slot I've signed up for and sometimes items in my order have been substituted. This is fine. It happens. Their employees are very kind when delivering to my trunk. I use this service because of the convenience Walmart promises, and typically they deliver reasonably well.
My most recent experience, however, has made me wonder if I'm being punished or something. I placed my order on Friday for pick up on Sunday as usual. I had errands to run so I was out and about. I arrived at Walmart at 11am, before I received the confirmation email. This has happened before. The email usually arrives within minutes. I called at 11:15 to inquire about the status of my order. The employee told me it was not ready. I quickly ran into the Walmart store to grab an item that I had forgotten to put on my order, passing aisles containing many of the items that I expected to be placed in my trunk within the hour (broccoli, goldfish crackers, milk, etc.). I returned to my car and continued to wait. I had work I could do on my phone, so I didn't mind the delay, though it was longer than usual. At noon, the end of my pick up time slot, I called again to inquire. They sincerely apologized that my order was not ready. I asked whether I should drive the 15 minutes home to wait or if I would be getting an email shortly. They said they would have my order ready by 4pm. 4PM!! My time slot was 11-12am. I had sat in my car and watched 20 other cars receive their groceries during that time slot. It occurred to me that perhaps these people had signed up for a much earlier time slot and that today was some sort of anomaly where we were all receiving our orders late. It also occurred to me that I should have just gone in to do the groceries myself since I had seen many of the items on the shelves minutes earlier. But I had another commitment to get to. This why I use the Walmart Grocery Pick Up service. Just before 3pm, I receive an email that my order is cancelled. Cancelled from Walmart's end. I call customer service. The representative apologized sincerely but gave absolutely no reason for the extended delay and subsequent cancellation. He suggested I reorder. I told him I had no intention of doing that because I can't reschedule my entire day again for groceries I ultimately may or may not get. I did, however, rearrange my evening, disappoint some people, and proceed to get my week's worth of groceries at Food Basics. I have to feed my family.
I understand that mistakes happen. I have had to be patient with this service before to an extent but the overall convenience has been worth it. But when employees can't be honest with me at the beginning ('there is a problem today and we cannot fulfill your order as planned') and instead cause scheduling issues for the rest of my day only to ultimately cancel my order without providing a reason, I become worried. Did I do something wrong, Walmart? The grocery items on my order were on your shelves. Many people had their orders delivered to their trunks while I waited during my time slot. Perhaps my business doesn't matter to a big box store such as yourself. I'm disappointed and will pursue alternative...
Read moreTeresa, the main customer service manager of the Fairview Walmart location, has still caused me much humiliation and by the McDonald’s, she was already glaring at me and shaking her head at me in utter repulsion and then erupted, yelling extremely loudly that I had an item hidden underneath my coat,?3jd.(btw, my first complaint that I posted just two days as my poat was deleted my someone representing this company, as the post I made, has simply vanished, with no awareness of mine until checking thoroughly. Since Walmart Canada has deleted my post regarding how humiliated and ashamed I felt and still feel today. After showing Teresa, in front of everyone that there was absolutely nothing underneath my coat; she didn’t apologize whatsoever and waved me away with a scoff and utter disgust at me, having assumed that I was just some “homeless bum with tracks on my arms or something”. And she couldn’t bear to even look at me as I told her that it wasn’t ok in retail to accuse anyone of shoplifting like that in the store and scream, prompting every cashier and customer to turn and look around. She then just ignored me completely and cut me off mid sentence to call Security on me. I then, just promptly left the store having to do a walk of shame as customers all stared at me like some homeless shoplifter there. It was beyond mortifying and horrifically embarrassing to endure when I have actually been a frequent shopper for my groceries there for 3 years now. Delete this review too, Walmart Canada since you have shown that customer service is not important whatsoever. That was established by me not having received any call back from the Customer Service number after 3 business days and also going back to the store and trying to desperately leave a message with that staff member to, hopefully, pass along to Teresa as I do DESERVE AT THE VERY LEAST, AN APOLOGY, and not via email as that would just cement my value currently as a human being in life. Thanks Teresa and thanks Walmart Canada for immediately deleting my google review two days ago when it happened.?please care about people’s feelings and respect them, even if it is a “customer service” manager. I will now start various social media pages to display my experience with both Teresa and now Walmart Canada for simply erasing my review and refusing to even offer a simple apology for that humiliating experience.
