My family of 3 and I went here on Wednesday the 12th for my daughter’s FIRST birthday lunch. All we wanted was to enjoy lunch and sing her happy birthday and get a picture to take home. From the seating concierge we already told them it’s my daughter’s birthday and they even wrote this on our seating paper. The time we went was around 12 so it was expectantly busy, but we were seated very back and felt like we were always last to get asked if we need anything and for water refill. The worst part is that the cake never cake and my daughter did not get her birthday song. When we finished our dessert I asked twice for the cake, one from our main server and the second from the second server whom I had to walk over to because no one was visiting our table. Our baby was getting annoyed and fussy and we waited over an hour for this and still no one came. I hunted our main server and told her to just give us the bill because no one came and now my child is just crying nonstop so we needed to go. When the bill came they even had there that we ordered a couple of drinks that we didn’t even order! Thankfully we didn’t have to wait longer for that to be changed, but to ammend the situation they could’ve done something, anything, but they did NOTHING. If this was just another birthday of mine I wouldn’t write this review but because it was my daughters FIRST birthday that we no longer can take back, we’re very dissapointed! We’re never coming back to this...

This was my first time dining at Mandarin, and I was truly impressed from start to finish. The restaurant was beautifully decorated – warm, welcoming, and full of vibrant colours that immediately set the tone for a great experience.

We were greeted by the hostess and seated, and then welcomed by our server, Eric. He handed us warm towels to freshen up and asked what we’d like to drink. Since it was my first time, he kindly walked us through how everything worked – from the specials they had that day, to buffet etiquette (leave your dirty plates on the table and grab a fresh one each time).

When I got up to explore the buffet, I was blown away by how clean and well-organized everything was. The food was labeled, looked amazing – so many options, from sushi to stir-fry to desserts – and everything I tried tasted fresh and packed with flavour. It’s rare to find a buffet where the quality matches the variety, but Mandarin nailed it.

I was celebrating my one-year work anniversary with a colleague, and Eric truly made us feel special. He checked in throughout the meal to make sure we were happy.
