Circle K — Local services in Burnaby

The service is getting worse every time I go there. This new batch of employees along with manager needs to be fired. I didn’t give a review because they were new back then. By now, they should be able to provide a better service to you as they have gained experience. But no, they aren’t doing their job properly. I’m 30% satisfied with the way they are operating.

My primary Complaints:

After telling them “you guys ran out of 18% cream”, it takes them 5-10mins to fill up cream.

Coffee brewer: Most of the time, they brew coffee, they don’t place the coffee grind into filter paper properly. So, some of the grind end with coffee. Which tastes disgusting.

Employees: They don’t take any responsibilities if they make a mistake. For example, I talked about coffee brewer in number (2). You know the irony is that the employee says it’s brewer problem. This is why coffee grind ends with coffee. It’s not because of me placing the coffee into filter paper in an (((improper))) way. It’s actually the machines fault. It made me laugh. I saw them taking no accountability. They deserve to be fired. I meant most of them.

Now, one thing for sure, either the employees are not properly trained in that case the manager needs to be fired or the employees are trained properly but they don’t do their job properly so the employees needs...

Hello, This is for owner or manager, I just want you to bring an issue into your consideration. I go every night at this store either for coffee or food, as I am working night close by to store. I went today around 12:30 AM. Salman the guy works there on few nights, has something to do. I requested him for using the washroom( I don’t use every day). First he said, it is out of service, then he said its so messy inside, then flush is not working. Then i asked to show me if it’s broken. He said then that we close every night 10Pm. Other staff members are so nice in behaviour and customer service. I used washroom once before there was a another guy let me used on request. There are other issues with salman that he close the store in night for long times even sometimes for hours. And the sign shows will be back in 5 min. Once I waited there for 20 min and then even I came after more then half hour, store was still closed. This is not a customer service that I expected from the guy which job is to provide better...

Previously gave 2 stars, after today only 1, would give less if I could

Shop had signs advertising a promo for a breakfast combo- got to the till to be told the promo ended- went back and grabbed the sign to show them thats fine but they need to take the signs away then if they're not going to honor the price. After this they tried to revise the price STILL above the advertised price on the sign ($5.99 with tax is $6.78, not $7.53)

I called them out on it and was able to get the actually advertised price for the breakfast combo.

Be prepared to aggressively defend the pricing you're entitled to (Yes the sign had an expiry on the deal, but it was in fine print that's in no way readable unless you're 6 inches away from it, then placed up above a machine that prevented you from reading it anyways since the done print was at the bottom and not visible from normal view)

Bottom line, this place is scammy and would probably be welcomed if a different convenience chain bought it out...
