CTS Youth Society — Local services in Burnaby

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent experience at the camp in Langley. Unfortunately, my time there was not enjoyable due to several issues that significantly affected my stay.

Firstly, at no point in the camp’s advertisements or information was it mentioned that the camp was strictly vegetarian. This was a crucial detail that should have been communicated beforehand. I had already stated from the beginning that I do not eat Pasta, yet I was forced to eat them due to the lack of alternative options.

Secondly, there were no socialization activities or games organized for the campers. Instead, we were required to clean the entire house, despite not even having access to the second floor. This was not what I expected from a camp experience, as I anticipated engaging activities and opportunities to connect with other campers.

Additionally, I felt that the behavior of one of the staff members, Sofia, was unprofessional. She was not kind to me or my friend and even raised her voice at us, which made us feel uncomfortable...

Our two teenagers (14 and 16) had such an amazing time with CTS Youth Society this summer. This is a truly incredible organization that gives youth across Metro Vancouver free access to nature and unforgettable experiences; from day camps to overnight camping in four beautiful regional parks.

The staff are absolutely wonderful, welcoming, and dedicated. They taught our kids so much, not only about the outdoors, but also about teamwork, confidence, and connection with nature. Both of our teens came back with big smiles, great stories, and new skills!
