Super surprised by all the negative reviews. Maybe they just took some time to get rheir footing, because I stopped in today for the first time and really enjoyed it. I had a ham breakfast sandwhich in the morning and drip coffee. Reasonably prices and as expected. Actually pretty good coffee for drip! They do espresso etc as well. Went back for lunch and did the chicken caesar wrap + added a side beet salad. Great flavour on the salad. The caesar wasnt too strong, which is nice because I often find these overdressed. My co-worker had the fish and chips. Nice breading to fish ratio, she was really pleased as well. Will be going back to try some of the weekly specials.

I chose this place for a surprise meal bag on "to good to go" and if these people think what they packaged me was too good to go, I'd never recommend them - horrible food..tip to this owner, if you can not provide a well balanced and somewhat tasty meal for to good to go...then do not participate! IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: The food you gave me was not appropriate for human consumption!!!!! The meat patty smelled sour and was greenish- the veggies I did try, they were horrible- I threw everything in the trash! DO BETTER! You're not feeding animals, we're humans!

The eggs here are phenomenal, possibly the best I've ever had. The sous vide style egg is not for everyone as they are as soft as you can go, but to me that means perfection. The classic hollandaise was good but together in the Benny was just so tasty. Their smoothies are also very satisfying. The bread was a bit over toasted though. Would go back in a heartbeat, only real drawback is they aren't open on weekends!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The food was disgusting! The eggs were raw (complete liquid), the cheese sauce was rancid, and the avocado overripe and quite bruised. I called to complain and the supposed manager fought with me that the food was good. She made nothing but excuses and raised her voice several times. She ended up saying she would refund my money but the next day told skip the dishes she would not. Apparently their chefs maintains the food was all cooked and of good quality. Apparently at this business the customer is always wrong and their enjoyment of the food is irrelevant. I will never order from here again.

Edit to respond to restaurant: I love how the restaurant came on here and made every excuse for the food being awful rather than apologizing for my experience or feelings and offering to make it right. The egg explination was given and as I explained on the phone the eggs were not white and were clear in color and completely liquid like a raw egg. As I explained then I have a sous vide and am well aware what an egg that comes out of those look like. These were raw!! In addition I explained well before speaking about the credit that the other items were not good. The only item out of my order I would have again was the chocolate milk, it was good. You make it sound like I made up these claims after you offered a credit to get more money which is an out and out lie. I told you right off the bat the three main issues I had. In addition I didn't just complain the cheese was brown so I threw it out. It smelt rancid and made the person who was going to eat it gag. I too smelt it and it indeed smelt rotten. At no point did you tell me it was Guinness cheese nor is this listed on the skip the dishes menu. Lastly I did not complain about the gaucomle. I complained about the sliced avocado that was on top. It was bruised with black spots and noticeably overripe. You twisted my complaints completely to make it appear that your food was up to par but it was so disgusing two different people had to throw items out that were revolting. You asked me what items I wanted credited since you were so sure they were good quality that you weren't willing to do the right thing and refund my order out of good will. Working in the hospitality industry for years this is standard practice with such an awful experience. You did end up agreeing to refund me in full. The next day when I reached out to skip the dishes to give another order a higher tip since the food and experience with creme de Le crumb was so much better I asked if they had heard from you to do my refund. They reached out to you and you told them you were no longer going to fulfill your promise to refund my order in full AND you were not willing to refund for anything since your chef said the food was fine. This is shocking customer service and quite honestly it doesn't matter what your chef says. If the customer is unhappy you don't fight with them to say you are in the right. That is customary is customer service that the customer is always right. At no point did you apologize for how my experience and food was. You couldn't admit that anything that was done was wrong. You were combative, defensive, rude, raised your voice to the point that I felt uncomfortable and got frustrated and upset, not to mention you didn't fulfill your promise. You were so over the top of course I began to get my back up and fight back. I am the customer, trying to give you feedback about an experience that was so poor, you couldn't admit you or your chef was in the wrong. I was in no way abusive as you claim, you were the one who raised your voice and in fact told me I was being "ridiculous" and that skip the dishes agreed. Skip the dishes actually offered me a $15 credit for how awful this all was and apologized in fact they actually advised me that I should give you a negative review and how to. You make it sound like you are working with skip the dishes to make this right but you haven't contacted them to refund me anything. You should be ashamed to run a...

Update: I went in yesterday November 29, 2017 and had the ginger beef. I was glad to see since my last visit that they actually have proper dishes on the menu and not just poached eggs and sandwiches. The ginger beef was great, even more delicious than the last time I had it. Although at $18.00 for the ginger beef and a pop I was unhappy with the price. The con of the visit was definitely the wait time. I waited 26 minutes for a to go order. This place needs to realize that most people who go here are workers and are on time crunches. Waiting 26 minutes is unacceptable. I feel like the kitchen is always understaffed. Also after reading the responses to the negative reviews here, I see the owner is not open to constructive criticism at all and only wants to defend themselves. Horrible approach that will eventually lose you a lot of customers. I probably won't go back. Gave it three chances and was not fully impressed. Lowering my rating back to 2 stars.

Update: I went in today July 20, 2017 for lunch again. I am happy to report that the service was faster and they now have regular soda! lol We got the ginger beef special and IT WAS DELICIOUS! BRAVO! We also purchased a container of the salsa which I thought was really fresh and tasted great. I will definitely go back to try their other daily specials and purchase their salsa for home-use. The amount of improvement in such a short period of time is actually very promising! It is still a little on the pricey side so it won't be my daily lunch but I will definitely return. As far as negatives, the only thing was it still gets hot in there. I noticed the rod's people used to prop the door open, perhaps a good idea for the new owners. I think it's only fair to up my rating now. I will give it 3 stars, the average of my 1 star experience and my 5 star experience. Looking forward to getting it to 5 stars one day!

Old Review: I went there for lunch today. I had their lunch special which was fried chicken on hash browns and mushroom sauce. Firstly I ended up waiting about 15 mins for it as they kept getting the orders mixed up behind the counter. It wasn't until I reminded them there was a second entree (I ordered for me and my co-worker) that they provided me with the meal. The chicken was oily and the breading on the outside was overcooked and definitely not a traditional fried chicken breading. The mushroom sauce was forgettable. The hashbrowns were doused in truffle oil, which everyone knows is meant to be used sparingly, well everyone but this chef. Your beverage options include coffee, water or some odd looking European soda. The sandwiches in the display case looked ok but at $9 a pop, I'd pass. The atmosphere is nicer than the old restaurant however they still haven't addressed the ventilation issue and it gets hot quickly and fills with the scent of oil. I understand it is their third day and problems need to be ironed out but the quality of food really makes me wonder if these people are actually caterers. I will pass, perhaps go back in a month or two to check if...

I had joked about putting a note on the door during construction saying I hope this wasn't going to be another sandwich place. Clearly they didn't do their market research.

Lunch cost $13.95 plus tip. It was doused in truffle oil and I couldn't finish it. The chicken was not fully cooked and the breading tasted weird. Very cheap chicken pieces.

It might be a step up from the Rod's, however, Rod's was a greasy spoon. You knew it was a greasy spoon. You went there for cheap burgers, fries, wraps, chicken fingers, salads, etc. Cheap & Easy and QUICK! The industrial people around here want quick. So now we have quick pizza, quick sushi, quick subway (sandwich location 1), quick sandwich in location 2 (sandwich tree), slower but fresh made sandwich in location 3 (t bird) and now slower, not fresh in this new location 4 (Foodies). We have enough sandwich places around here. If you want to pay $10 for a sandwich, go for a 5 minute walk and get a sandwich made fresh when you order it and not one sitting in a glass case drying out during the day.

Foodies is trying to be fancy but it's not quick and honestly was not good. I have polled many people in our office who tried it and no one wants to go back. My boss took our billion dollar clients here for lunch and one spit out his soup. Oops.

I did hear the breakfast was good, but again, not cheap & easy & quick.

Again, give a second chance in a few months. Hopefully it...
