I've gone to many Indian grocery stores and just discovered this one. Elegant a thrill!! This is the best one in the area if you want the option of Indian as well as African foods. Tons of frozen or dry Indian snacks, as well as fresh home-made snacks and foods that are available on Saturdays only. You can find authentic East African ingredients like 'ugali', 'mogo' etc. There are also non-food goods like shawls, incense and a good selection of Ayurvedic potions. It's owned by a lovely man, Amin, who's helpful, honest and offers excellent value....

Very disappointed and frankly quite concerned. Was told roti was made fresh that day but found mold on several of them. Called the owner, and he requested proof of mold. Texted him photos. Said he would only refund/replace the roti if I brought the roti back to his store the next time I'm there to shop. Told him I live in Richmond, and he said for me to keep the moldy roti in my freezer till I go back again. The father-son duo of Amin and Shameez respectively were exceptionally welcoming. Their store has everything an Indian from Africa would want, from food items such as fresh mandazis and chapatis to African Nescafe coffees, Indian soaps, tasbihs/rosaries, snacks such as karanga/peanuts, jewellery, etc. I went today and would definitely go back. The overall experience was very satisfactory - definitely deserving...
