TL;DR Chef Alex is an incredible chef! We have been to some of the finest restaurants in Canada and his food is on par with Canada's best chefs. I highly recommend Chef Alex, you will not be disappointed!
Chef Alex was responsive and very clear when it came to planning. We wanted a 5 course dinner and wine paring. Chef Alex recommended a sommelier, Andrew Freedman, we could not be happier with the sommelier Chef Alex recommended, he chose incredible wines and they paired beautifully with the food! We had the option of choosing our courses from a menu or chefs’ choice, we went with chef’s choice and you should too, Chef Alex experimented with some dishes and everything was super tasty! The sommelier even asked Chef Alex to prepare a cucumber desert because the dessert wine paired well with cucumber, and Chef Alex delivered an absolute home run of a cucumber dessert! Every single course was knock your socks off amazing. I actually don’t like cheese or fish and there was a cheese dish and scallop dish and both blew me away, that’s how good the food is! Chef Alex and the sommelier were super friendly and made everyone feel very comfortable. Fine dining in the comfort of your own home is really one of the best dinning experiences. We didn’t want our evening to end but sadly it did, but Chef Alex left the kitchen and dishes spotless. Pricing was extremely reasonable and straight forward. Overall an amazing experience. We will certainly be seeing...
Read moreWhat a fantastic experience. I do not consider myself someone who enjoys fine dining, but found myself being served by Chef Alex at a birthday celebration. I never imagined being someone who would enjoy eating beef tartar, but there came the appetizer and I thought to myself that I would put my head down and get through it, but oh my word is was delicious. Every dish that night was a great surprise that far exceeded my expectations and changed my thoughts on fine dining. I still can’t believe I enjoyed beef tartar that much. If you’re like me and don’t consider yourself a fine-diner, you need to give Chef Alex’s cooking a shot and I bet you’ll be very happily surprised. Extremely friendly and personable as well. One diner needed gluten free food, which was no problem for him through all courses, and the carrot cake desert ended up being a gluten free cake for all. I’m not one to reach for carrot cake in the first place given some cake options. But once again, oh my word it was the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. I would eat ten of them. You can enjoy the company of your friends or family while Chef Alex takes care of an amazing meal, and you save some cash while you’re at it with your own wine at home....
Read moreWe had an incredible evening with Alex, he came to our home and created the most memorable 6-course meal. Every dish was thoughtful, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious.
We started with a luxe serving of caviar, followed by a fresh tomato and burrata salad with pomegranate purée and brown butter vinaigrette—such a unique and perfect combo. The signature beef tartare was a standout, with bold mustard seeds that added great texture and flavor. The seasonal vegetables—leek, asparagus, and fiddleheads—were cooked perfectly and brought so much brightness to the meal.
The tomahawk steaks were done to perfection and topped with a rich, flavorful demi-glace that had everyone at the table raving. Even my father-in-law, who usually steers clear of anything that feels too “fine dining,” said it was a meal he’ll never forget. We ended with a key lime pie that was the ideal balance of tangy and sweet.
Beyond the food, the team was fantastic—funny, down-to-earth, and incredibly knowledgeable. They made the night feel effortless and special from start to finish. We’re still talking about it days later. Highly,...
