I was looking for a nice peaceful cafe to have a bit of lunch and a coffee while reading. I stumbled upon this place in the Cspace building. There are two little outdoor tables at the moment and it looks out at the courtyard with indigenous art. Quite fitting for a day of reflection. I ordered a latte. Nice and hot and delicious. My food order was the chicken torta. It was made fresh for me and it was nothing short of outstanding. The flavours were Devine, the bread crisp but soft on the inside and there was enough chicken for two sandwiches. It was a bit messy to eat but thankfully she gave me two napkins. The addition of the mango slice with the Tajin on it…genius! I feel an addiction coming on. Definitely recommend a visit to this little gem. I will be back to try more of the menu for sure.

The worst experience I've ever had. I was in this small place called a cafe with my friend, but on Instagram we saw a completely different beautiful cafe, but the address led us to a worse version of this cafe (why one address for two cafes?) Next, I saw a woman preparing an order ( tacos) touched her personal belongings (a bag) and then with the same hands, without washing them, continued to prepare food for people. Also we waited a very long time for our two hot chocolate because the lady forgot my friend's order. We drank some “overpriced hot chocolate” and had to throw away the rest. We were shocked why the Canadian sanitary station does not inspect such establishments, because there is complete unsanitary conditions there. I do not recommend it to anyone, unfortunately.

We came across Aroma Cafe Bar when we brought our daughter for French classes in cSpace. My husband had a quesadilla and I had the Mexican hot chocolate with carrot cake. The food is incredible. The quesadilla was the best my husband has had and it was so nice that they brought out our food to us. We also ended up buying some salsa they recently started selling. Highly recommend and we will be coming again!

We recently celebrated my parents' 80th joint birthday party at Aroma, and it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant truly made this special occasion extraordinary with its exceptional service, delicious cuisine, and warm atmosphere.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who went out of their way to ensure every detail was perfect. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting, with elegant decor that reflects a modern Canadian feel. The cozy yet sophisticated setting provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration.

Instead of a traditional menu, there was a set buffet, which was nothing short of amazing. The buffet featured an impressive array of dishes, with the tacos being a standout. Each taco was expertly crafted with fresh ingredients, offering a variety of fillings that delighted all our guests. The flavors were vibrant and authentic, making the buffet a highlight of the evening.

What truly set Aroma apart was the outstanding service. The staff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring that our large group was comfortable and had everything we needed. They even surprised my parents with a special dessert platter and a heartfelt birthday serenade, which added a personal touch to the celebration.

Overall, Aroma exceeded all our expectations. The combination of delicious food, beautiful ambiance, and exceptional service made my parents' 80th birthday party a joyous and memorable event. I highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion – they truly know how to make their guests feel celebrated...

I would’ve given it 5 stars because the food we ate were good, avocados were so fresh, pastries were a delight and it’s a small business and they deserve to be supported.

However, below are the reasons for rating:

Called in the morning to check if we need to make a reservation and was told no. I asked if it gets busy around 1-1:30 and got an unclear response so I said kindly reserve a table for 3 people just to make sure. The man took my name and said that they will be expecting us. Called around 12:30 to confirm reservation and pre order some food to start with. A lady took our order and said it’ll be ready for when we get there. Got there, no table, no food. After about 5 minutes of wait, was told to grab any table and chairs and pull them together. And that our food will be ready in 10-15 minutes.

Upon ordering our main meals, was told that there’s no beef and salsa. Reason: “owners just got back from Cancun.” My mind was spinning.

Service was slow and drinking water supply was scarce. We had to run to our car and get our own water.

We tried the place because of the 5-star reviews but we’re disappointed. We were on a time crunch and made sure our orders our table sat and...

We just moved to Calgary this week and discovered the little gem, Aroma café in the Marda Loop neighbourhood. We picked up great Americano and Latté coffees all week and knew we wanted to try the authentic mexican offerings. We decided to do take out lunch and wanted to tey the burritos but they were sold out so we settled for the taco combo. 3 tacos for $12. The taco combo was a great choice. We each had 3 tacos and between the 3 of us tried: beef, pork, vegetable and the Al Pasteur. Very authentic tortillas and fresh fillings, even topped with fresh cilantro, and a cup of their special sauce for the Al pasteur ones. All were delicious but our favourites were the beef and the Al Pasteur ( a marinated shredded beef, which I didn't have but will definitely have the next time we order). The café has friendly staff and each order is made fresh while you wait. We are totally looking forward to trying the burritos and other dishes they offer. You can even get desserts and imported from Mexico drinks to go with your meal. They even sell spices and sauces from Mexico. A great little spot in Marda Loop to enjoy delicious, authentic Mexican specialties. Looking forward to trying more of...
