me and my significant other had just came here tonight and we were wildly disappointed in food and service we were served tonight.

to start off, we were seated relatively quickly (roughly 30 seconds) and all was usual. we ordered drinks and it took a couple of minutes to get our drinks which wasn't a big issue. a couple minutes later we place our order: a half dozen raw oysters, fish and chips, and steak and parm frites. after about 15 minutes of waiting, we finally get our raw oysters, which was ordered as just an appetizer. we thought this was extremely long for a wait for just oysters and should've realistically only taken 5 minutes, especially because there was only about 10 consumers at the restaurant total. another thing with the oysters is that they gave us only 5 oysters instead of 6, but this was quickly corrected. we both got refills on our drinks (at slightly different times) after we had the oysters and i got mine relatively quick without issues, and my partners drink took 5 minutes to get, and for roughly 3 of those, it was just sitting on the bar, in plain view.

it took another 15 minutes to get our entrees, so 30 minutes total after order. i got the steak rare and it came out cooked properly which was good, however there was absolutely no parm on the dish, which was highly disappointing, the chimichurri was extremely peppery and was overwhelming the taste of almost everything else. it was impossible to tell that this was marinated in chipotle peppers and was an extremely small portion of meat. Additionally the fish and chips that were ordered were lukewarm, and so was the coleslaw, however the fires were extremely hot. after this meal my partner who ordered the fish and chips felt ill and the food didn't sit well with myself either.

overall the service was slow, food was mediocre, and the experience was lackluster for the rating of...

We fell upon this phenomenal restaurant and it turned out to be the best food we had while visiting PEI and argumentatively the best dining experience we’ve ever had! Staff were beyond friendly upon arrival, the patio with like music and interior designs of the restaurant was so inviting and our waiter (sorry forget his name but he was a Fleming teacher) was beyond friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with him!

Now onto the food, WOW! First off, we were shocked with how reasonably priced all of the food was!

We started with nachos and for our mains, we had the Panko chicken…my husband is still raving about it, my son ordered the best burger he’s ever had in his life and my daughter had some awesome mussels and I had the haddock…AMAZING!

I am a pescatarian (vegetarian who eats fish and dairy) and I also have celiac. The menu was very clearly marked as to which items were gluten free or gluten free option. Having celiac and eating out can often be frustrating so I appreciate restaurants like The Pilot who include gluten free options on their menu and most importantly…the food was incredible! Will definitely be back and I highly recommend this...

My wife and I were celebrating my daughters 21st birthday and wanted to take her to a nice restaurant. The service was great - the food not so much. The 1st clue was how quickly the food arrived - less than 10 mins after placing our order. Made me immediately think we were getting reheated rather than fresh entrees. My Panko Chicken was rubbery and pinkish in colour - making me think it was undercooked so I just set it aside after a few bites. The seafood chowder was over salted but had a decent amount of seafood in it. However the biscuit that came with the chowder looked fresh but when I picked it up it was cool and very dense and doughy. Again - maybe undercooked and pulled from the fridge a few minutes before serving. On the plus side my ceasar salad was good as was my daughters sirloin steak and my wife’s seafood topped salad. The sticky date pudding was also awesome. I’m not a picky eater but the bottom line is that for more than $100 food bill (no drinks) I was very disappointed in the quality of the food that we were so looking forward to enjoying. We will...

Amazing restaurant in Charlottetown. Great vibe - indoors and outdoors. They have a large terrace though we ate inside which was also very nice! Not too loud so we could hear each other (group of 7). Food was very good. Excellent gluten free options and safety- two celiacs in our group. Amd the GF food was delicious- chicken tenders ! so hard to find GF. kids menu had lots of options - son was happy with chicken tenders which weren't too crispy. All other meals overall very good, especially beet and goat cheese salad wow! Huge fish and chips portions which were great. Only thing is the calamari which I found not very tasty - batter was very bland and lacking salt. Couldn't even finish it... standout service in the restaurant though - my son lost a toy behind our bench and they went way out of their way to help us get the toy back! Was not a simple extraction but it was a successful one! highly recommend.

The Pilot House has to be one of the best restaurants I've eaten at on the East Coast (NB/NS/PEI). I had the Tuna Poke bowl, and I was very happy with how many veggies there were. Often, places have this on the menu, and it is 90% rice with a tiny bit of veggies and protein. This was definitely not the case. It was a massive portion with just the right amount of rice, tons of edamame, tomato, cucumber, avocado, cabbage, and marinated tofu. I actually could not finish it! The others at my dinner table had the fish and chips and the chicken crepes. Both were very impressed, with large portions and delicious flavors. Well worth it! I wish Fredericton had a restaurant like this.

This restaurant is right in the downtown area of Charlottetown. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the menu features were reasonably priced. I chose chicken and broccoli wraps served with hollandaise and side salad. Generous portion. Delicious. If I was serving this I would have put a little extra hollandaise on the side. My husband had seafood chowder and a Greek salad. Chowder was tasty but a little thin. Served with a biscuit he asked for a dinner roll but they didn't have any. However our waitress brought over some slices of herb bread and garlic butter. Overall good experience and we would return.
