It is very rare that I give 5 stars to any service provider unless they truly earn it. I can confidently say this place does absolutely deserve it.
I will admit I only have experience at the MTG sections of this store as I do not play many board games or anything similar, but I am an avid player/collector of Magic products. The selection this store has is the best I have come across in Edmonton. Comparing them to their competitors, Red Claw has the best selection of all cards under $5 - meaning you can go there looking to build an entirely new deck and find EVERY card you are looking for; even the ones that cost 10 cents. The management here clearly understands supply and demand. I actually even found old basic lands from Mirage that they had in a binder. In a BINDER! I was completely taken back by their inventory system and how well they are organized (especially their tokens).
I have no negative feedback to provide. I love the location as it is the only LGS in the north east of Edmonton and the venue is great. I love the staff here as they are friendly, understanding, knowledgeable, and willing to take a look at every single card I have available for trade. And, what I love most - the inventory. I trust them more than any other store to have what I am looking for.
Thank you Red Claw for setting the bar for other Edmonton LGS. I have only been to your establishment three times but I will definitely be returning...
Read moreWalked into the store on release day where there was no indication whether or not there was going to be any product available. When we asked about booster boxes we were spoken to worse than children like we can't read the sign outside that just stated "we can sell product earlier than release day". Could have been more clear on the note on the door stating "we don't have any product other than booster packs". Instead all 3 of the staff working were rude and condescending when telling us "legally we are allowed to sell prior to release day", we know that LCS can sell prior, but most get more product or save some for the actual release day. The 1st time I went (in March 2025) the staff was great and welcoming, I attended a pre-release event and it was awesome! Since then everything has gone down the gutter. 8 months and a whole shift in attitude within the store. This is not the 1st time that staff have been rude to me and my partner in this store. Will not be returning and will be...
Read moreJust had an encounter with one of the tragic flaws of the gaming industry these days, elitism. My 12 yo son and 10 yo daughter went in today, first time, and wandered around. I liked the store, and had intended to make it a regular stop. I have been a gamer for thirty years and owned my own store for a time so I understand the industry from all sides. What drove me out the door, never to return was the inattentive clerk behind the counter. For a good 5 minutes my son, cash in hand, stood at the counter waiting to purchase some MTG cards. The clerk wouldn't stop chatting with the guy she conversing with (not at all work related) long enough to notice my son. When the guy notice my son standing there with money, he stopped talking and moved out of the way. The clerk went back to her computer, not acknowledging us at all! My son slinked over to me and said "I don't know what to do". I replied with "neither do they, lets take our money elsewhere." Unless you are known here, proceed...
