JE NE RETOURNERAIS JAMAIS ICI🚨‼️

SORRY FOR THE ONE STAR! If i could i will put 0.

Mon Dieu, where do I even begin with this abomination of a "grilled cheese bacon Avocado” disaster? It was an absolute horror show from start to finish. The moment it was placed in front of me, I swear I saw a faint green glow emanating from the sandwich, and I couldn't help but wonder if I had just been served a radioactive biohazard.

The appearance alone was enough to send shivers down my spine. It looked like a culinary nightmare, resembling a pile of rancid diarrhea rather than any semblance of a proper grilled cheese bacon avocado. The bread was disgustingly soggy and seemed to be soaked in some unidentified ooze that resembled expired mayonnaise mixed with motor oil. There was no bacon and of course a weird biohazard “egg” if we can call it like that.

But wait, it gets worse! When I bravely attempted to take a bite, I was met with a foul stench that could make a skunk cry. The taste was even worse than the smell – a toxic blend of burnt rubber and sour milk that lingered in my mouth for hours, tormenting me long after I left that wretched place.

As if the monstrosity on my plate wasn't enough, the cherry on top of this putrid sundae was the waitress from hell. When we politely expressed our concern about the hazardous waste posing as food, she had the audacity to become confrontational. She insisted that we pay for the nightmare-inducing disaster she served us, as if we were the ones to blame for her incompetence. I asked to talk with a manager and the waitress sent me another waitress that just rolled up her eyes, like ma’am if you want to tell me that my dish looks okey you should eat it by yourself (look at the photo)

I can't fathom how this so-called restaurant “Allô mon coco” is still in business at least in Gatineau. It's a public health hazard and an insult to anyone with functioning taste buds. I wouldn't wish this horrifying experience on my worst enemy. Save yourself the trauma and stay far, far away from this place, unless, of course, you're into the thrill of potentially contracting food poisoning from what they call "grilled cheese bacon avocado.” Your taste buds and sanity will thank you.

Et oui, il n’y a pas d’épinards dans...

I frequently go to the allo’s in Ottawa with my husband and have never had any issues. Today my husband(Muslim) and I went to this location and ordered grilled cheese (specifically without bacon) and plain potatoes. As my husband is eating the plain potatoes he finds meat. We let the server know and she apologized and was very nice. When my husband went to the bathroom the manager came to me asked if I spoke French and when I said no she asked if he did and that she would wait for him. Seconds later she tells me “oh so you know it wasn’t pork it was beef” I politely let her know regardless he can not and would not eat it. She gave me a rude look and asked me why. I specified “religion” she then began to question me saying “I’ve never heard of that for any religion only no pork” . I specified that actually because the beef is not Halal, he cannot eat it” she tried to dismiss me as I was trying to say that was still cross contamination she asked me if I “specified no meat when ordering”. I told her I shouldn’t have to specify no meat in plain potatoes. She dismissed me and then waited for my husband and continue to be rude to me and sort of nice to him and then thanked him for his “constructive” feedback which was the exact same as what I had said. I also tried to explain that they have vegan and vegetarian options and that no one should have to specify no meat when ordering from the exact same menu when it doesn’t specify being cooked in the same areas nor should it be cooked in the same if they have those options. Horrible experience and terrible customer service...

0/10. We came in as a group of 4 around 12:30 and asked to sit outside. They indicated that there's no wait outside but give us 5min to clean it up. 5 min became 20 min and after speaking to the host they sat us at a table inside. We ordered our food and drinks but did not get the drink until 30 min after, when we spoke to our server about the drink. What we then noticed was tables were being sat after us and we're getting their food before us. We spoke to the server who said I'm sorry and the food will be out in 10/15 min. Fast forward to just over an hour and we still haven't recieved our food. We asked for the manager who apologized and went to check the situation. All she said was 3 tables are ahead of you and indicated this situation is "normal" and we cannot provide any compensation. When we asked if they can prioritize our meals since we've been waiting the longest she indicated again that there's nothing they can do.

I understand cause of COVID and such restaurants are just opening and are busy. However, the excuses the restaurant and the manager made are not cause of COVID or being busy but rather negligence of the mistake they made and refuse to take the blame.

Horrendous service at this restaurant, I have never experienced...

While this is a popular location for breakfast and brunch, you do need to know a few tricks in order to get good seats and good service. It makes me rate this place with 3 stars because food and service you get depending on the day of week, time of day and seat location ( server ). Place is modern contemporary design with red accents. Like a mix of 50’s diner and contemporary count outs and fixtures. Although they have an outside door access, this parking lot facing exit is mostly locked and clients are required to walk in thru mall. On week-end and Peek brunch hours, there is a wait. They use telephone text message system and you need to reconfirm immediately upon receipt of seat available message and have 10 minutes to make your way there. ✌️A word of advice, ask for booth or bucket seats. They are much more comfortable and private to dine in and sit on. So if they ask you if you have preference, state your preference otherwise you will get slotted with regular table with wooden seats……… not only they are located in the back of restaurant , they are tight and in the open. ‼️Finally, their popular house potatoes is only good if it is done crispy on the outside. So do ask for a crispy yet flavourful side potatoes to avoid a mushy one.

I always loved to eat at allo mon coco, usually at riverside. Today I took a friend who came from Toronto to this location… it’s so painfully disappointing and I was embarrassed that I recommended this place to my friend. We’re Muslim so we asked if we can replace the choice of meat with literally anything… an extra egg, or fresh fruit. Nope not allowed (even though we did it at the riverside branch). But fruit is less expensive to add than choice of meat. Nope, no replacement, just add it. Not an issue, we pay for the fresh fruit and what not. The crepe comes with barely any chocolate on top and the eggs look like they’ve been eaten before getting to us (exaggerating)💀. Not at all worth the money, I’m better off making it at home lol. I was soooo severely disappointed and embarrassed. I won’t be recommending this. The waitress was quite nice for Quebec, given we are Muslim 😁 the other branch (riverside) also serves coffee n stuff this one doesn’t so if you ever decide to go JUST DON’T GO TO THIS BRANCH!
