Sudburyâs hidden gem for top quality, locally made frozen meals, especially for senior citizens.
Perfectly portioned meals for people living by themselves or seniors who do not what huge big trays to reheat. Perfectly seasoned and not over-salted. Easy to stock freezer up for a few weeks, so there is always something delicious for elderly diners to cook up. Add a garden salad and a toast, and you have a dinner any senior citizen would enjoy and easily manage to prepare.
Very much appreciate the single serving sizes packages in reheatable containers, and not in plastic, needing to be transferred to another dish before cooking in oven. No need to reheat in plastic container. Tin containers are easily recyclable and not needing to worry about microplastics.
Like everyone says, these ARE the BEST CUPCAKES in town, by far, whether or not one eats gluten free.
Favourite senior meals, small serving size -Shepherds pie -Cabbage rolls -Chicken stir fry -Chicken Parmesan Chicken and beef pot pies -Sudbury local Quiches, lasagnes, and Pizzas
Would try any other single serving frozen offerings presented in tin containers that Amici and local partners can come up withâŠ.especially flavours that seniors know and love beef stew or ragout beef stroganoff Salisbury steak -meatballs in gravy, sweet & sour, Swedish -meatloaf -roast beef in gravy -pot roast -chicken fried rice -chicken vegetable casserole -chicken piccata -chicken a la king -chicken teriyaki -Chicken Alfredo -Turkey dinner -spaghetti and sauce -Mac and cheese -garlic massed potatoes -scalloped potatoes -manicotti -baked beans salmon
Would also try the flash frozen soups, chilis in frozen puck format, just needing to be moved over to an oversized ceramic cup for reheating.
The quality at Amiciâs is so much more elevated than any other local fresh food market or large frozen food franchise in town. Tastes home cooked, ingredients are high quality, and the PRICES ARE REASONABLE too.
Looking forward to being able to choose these single serving meals online and have them delivered to seniorsâ residence, in the future, through delivery apps.
Tin container format with clear simple larger font and labeling makes it easy to stack and organize in a seniorâs freezer. Reheating instructions are very concise, clear to follow and...

Edit: I went into Amici with my sister earlier this summer to get a dozen morning glory muffins as those are our favourite and we always try and get some when sheâs in town. We walked in, and were not greeted by the young girl behind the counter. We noticed there were no morning glory muffins in the display case so we asked the girl if they had any in the back (as thatâs been the case multiple times in the past). With a blank look on her face, she said âNo.â We then asked when they would be making a fresh batch, to which the girl replied âI donât know much about the bakingâ (which is odd as she is one of two employees) We then asked if there was a typical schedule that they make these muffins that she may have picked up on, to which she replied âWeâre out of muffin linersâ. While I understand that they need a specific size and/or type of liner, I find it hard to believe that neither Costco, Superstore, Metro nor Walmart (all of which are a 5 minute drive) carry adequate muffin liners. The most frustrating part of this experience was that we had to pry this girl several times to provide us with basic information as to why they donât have the muffins in stock and when we can expect them to be back. Based on this and my several other experiences in the store and some of the reviews on this page your staff is in desperate need of some customer...
Read moreI'm honestly not sure why I keep going back there as I'm never happy with the customer service. I have bought cheesecake from there twice and both times they have been stale. Both times I've informed staff of my experience and both times nothing is done about it. I keep going back because I really like the salted caramel cupcakes but that brings me to my last interaction . I purchased two cupcakes and I guess the person working thought I was getting four so she put it in a four pack container which is a clear plastic container. I told her that was perfect as I don't want my cupcakes bashing into each other and I like that idea. I was informed in a very condescending manner that this would not happen again and this was a one-time deal because these containers are expensive. I'm sorry as a customer if I want to go in and buy two cupcakes and request a certain container because I don't want my cupcakes getting smashed before I get them home I should not have to deal with Attitude from the staff. As anybody who has gone into Amici knows nothing is cheap there. The least they can do is provide Stellar customer service. I'm not sure if I...
