UPDATED - was Poor Quality, but resolved (due to review), would give another chance... Original review was a '1', as there was no initial resolution. Backstory - We bought the 'Tribeca', consisting of the 'Cuddler', 'armless chair', & an 'arm-sitting Chaise'. They were received in our home Oct '19. Shortly after the time of delivery, we called the manager informing him that the 'Cuddler' seat was depressed (significantly) towards the arm rest side, that the connections continued to detach (Just don't try to move it!) - just my wife (
Read moreWhen my husband and I moved into our new house we purchased a sofa for $8,200.00 from what believed was a trusted brand. Since we have owned the sofa, less than 3 years, there has been 3 issues. The material has been saging around the head rest and over the last week the wood block on the centre console just seperated. Now the medal wire on the recliner snapped. We were thankful we had purchased a 5 year warranty.
We called to inquire and were told there is no warranty with any of their sofas. They quickly responded there is a one year manufacturer's coverage and the 5 plan we purchased just covered stains. It was very disappointing the way they have handled this situation explaining that they could sell us the replacement part for $20. Aftering saying we were not comfortable repairing it ourselves they told us" it doesn't not take a rocket scientist to do so". They then offered that they would call a repair service man to come look at our piece to see if it would be "covered" knowing it is simply past the 1 year and we would be stuck with the bill. Come to find out that Amazon sells the replacement apart for $16- and you get TWO pieces!
We were able to locate the 5 year coverage plan we had purchased and it states mechanism failure, defective hinges/hardware and structural/joint defects are covered ONLY for Dining Furniture.
We had friends chuckle at us for spending so much money on a sofa. Now they laugh that we wasted our money on something that broke after 3 short years.
How is this good business practice that you sell a sofa for $8,200.00 and not stand behind your product?- Way to win the customer for life for just simple small repair fees. Unfortunately, because of this feedback we are voicing our concerns. Now we will be voicing our disappointment with family and friends. For the hard working individual who is looking to spend the extra money buying a good 20 year couch keep this story in mind that you can be mislead by the quality...
Read moreI called the store and spoke to one of the sales consultants, Hunter Morrissey. I explained that we are seniors and do not want to spend a lot of time searching for a La-Z-Boy recliner for my husband who is 6’6” and needs a large recliner with a swivel base. Hunter was very professional and very pleasant. He knew exactly what kind of chair my husband needed. Within the hour we went into the store and Hunter showed us the chairs that he had recommended to me during our telephone conversation. My husband tried them out and made his choice. We chose the fabric and we bought the chair. What a great way to do business especially during these days of Covid. It was a wonderful shopping experience for us.
The only downside is that it takes 20-22 weeks to actually get delivery of the chair because they are made to order but it will be worth the wait to get what we wanted.
Thank you Hunter for your help and we appreciate your patience and kindness.
Sincerely, Linda...
