This was the best experience in making a mattress purchase. We shopped at the Bayers Lake location in Halifax. We were greeted by David Barnett wow what excellent customer service,Was this man for real? He was incredible. Product knowledge, listening to our needs without being pushy. He sold us exactly what we asked for. He got us discounts on mattress accessories and the delivery. Leon’s/Brick have a 3 month guarantee, within that time you can exchange it for another mattress if not 100 percent satisfied .Seriously? Another smooth event was delivery. We didn’t have to sit from 8to 5 waiting for it to happen. The store called you with the date the day before, the one you agreed on in store, and gave you a three hour window in which you would get your delivery. That never happens. Good to their word the day before they called and next day delivered within the three hours. The delivery team were as efficient, professional and friendly as well. This mattress had a flaw so immediately the delivery person took photos and sent email back to the store, that simple. Received call and arrangements made to get it replaced. We had the mattress close to a month, too firm for us so back to the store. Next we met Mckynlie M. Another efficient, professional person. Very young and knowledgeable. So no problem, she set up everything to receive another mattress. She even saved us from making a mistake on the mattress, good call. We misunderstood that the delivery day was not totally confirmed because product not in the store. Never knew this until later when the date we thought we chose wasn’t happening. No problem. We spoke to a very lovely lady over the phone, whose name I never got, but she runs the store when manager is off. We told her what happened and was not Mckynlie’s fault but ours .So this very lovely person said not to worry I will fit you in for our Saturday delivery. So today we got our new mattress. This was such a positive experience right from our first encounter with David to the young men who delivered our product. Thank you all your kindness, never knew it was still out there. Read moreRight from phone call to in store to delivery everything was great. Jason Watson awnsered I showed up he was there he had deals over the phone and was at the doors waiting when I showed up. I ended up having to come back because I couldn't decide and he was patient enough and helped my wife and I pick out a set when we came back the next day. Delivery would have been the next day as well but I was just tied up so it had to be the following day vs leons showing everything then when you found a set you liked would say a month and a half wait ? The brick has show rooms and inventory right here in the hrm. My fridge and freezer died all in one night and I lost out on a bunch of food but the pricing was great on the dishwasher(died weeks before) and fridge and same brand gets you a bundle discount! He even price matched leons who were going to keep me waiting 45 days no fridge. I was iffy on the warranty but the price was already great I figured why not since if it goes unused you get it back in store credit minus electronic and appliances so my money is secured and if it does shit the bed it will be covered , delivered a loaner and a 250 dollar grocery voucher so why the hell not. Also the delivery crew had tracking were ahead of schedule also went above taking a shelf off the wall which they don't have too amd removed my old fridge free of charge!(dishwasher was already gone)
All in all pretty happy with the service hopefully the product holds up went with a hisense brand for both as the reviews on both were great and pricing was great was also approved on the spot for intrest free financing and equal payments which basically no where's but leons and the brick do. Didn't want to fix my old appliance that came with the house as it was probably well over 10 years old and be dealing with the same issues down the road again and I never had to lift a finger. We even threw in a matching stainless ice cube maker for the extra few bucks a month. Thanks so much guys!

Read moreI had a negative experience with The Brick about 6 years ago and avoided shopping there until it came time to purchase new major kitchen appliances this spring. I knew what features I wanted but was having trouble choosing a brand. I spoke with Nathan. His product knowledge was unbelievable. Picking out appliances with his help took no time at all. He also knows exactly what his competitors are doing too, and beat their prices. Several weeks later (but before delivery) Nathan called to say they were having a sale and we could save a few more bucks. Great customer service! The appliances arrived last week in great condition by friendly, and careful delivery guys. A great experience with The Brick!
Update: Because our renovations are taking SO long, and we were not ready to install our new range hood at the time of delivery, we failed to open the box within the allotted period to report any damage. When we did open the box, we found that the range hood was scratched. Not seriously, but enough so it was noticeable. (It appears that when the protective film was put on in the factory, a utility knife or box cutter was used to cut the film away from around the buttons.) When I called The Brick to report the damage, they were not willing to exchange the product for an undamaged one, although were willing to take a little off the purchase price. I understand. It was my fault for not checking the product immediately upon delivery. However, we did just purchase 5 major appliances, so we were hoping for a little good will on the part of The Brick. I spoke with Nathan, and he fortunately came to our rescue and was able to bend the rules and allow us to return the damaged range hood and purchase another. I know this was outside store policy, so we really appreciate him going the extra mile. As a side note, the new range hood arrived also with the protective film seemingly cut away around the buttons with a sharp object. This time there were no scratches...
