I'd give overall store a 2 and a half at best. I went to this location 3 days in a row and there are very little employees that can/will help. I seen multiple young employees sitting on their phones at the front desk rather then walking around to help customers. My first day I went to pick up wood. Second day I wanted to go pick up a ceiling fan they had on sale. I asked a employee about where I would get the specific ceiling fan I wanted and he said he thinks it was the last one. I asked if he could check if any other locations have this specific fan and he said he would check. He then told me that the Grimsby location had this product and told me he would give me the number to call. I called and there was no answer and he reassured me there was multiple in stock. I drove all the way to Grimsby just to be told they don't have it. I ended up calling rymal Rona back and asked if I could take the floor model and was told yes and it was put on hold for the next day. The next day I drove back to grab the ceiling fan and it was still stuck to the ceiling with a tag with my name on it. I asked the employees about it and they told me it couldn't be taken down. I was frustrated because I live 45 minutes away and felt I drove there for nothing. ONE employee in particular was VERY kind (wish I got his name.. an older gentleman) and he was more then willing to help me and took it down. He took the fan apart and cleaned it up for me and put it in a box and told me how to set it up. He seemed he was the only one who cared about customers and his job. I went to customer service at the back of the store to get some information on 6 appliances that I was interested in purchasing, but no one was there or came after I rang the bell on the counter. I made my way back up to the front where there was a staff member just straightening a counter display. I told her if she could get someone for me to talk to about appliances I was interested in purchasing, she replied that I did not need to speak to customer service but rather talk to a cashier. I asked if she could help me then and she asked rudely āwhat are you looking forā I told her that the items I saw online were not on the floor and if she could look them up to which she replied Iām going home soon. She walked to the back and I followed. She asked for skuās and I gave them to her, but they were not the right ones as she wanted the Rona codes rather than the item codes. I explained that I found them online as item codes. A fellow staff member approached and she told him that I didnāt have the right codes to which he replied that she would have no problem looking them up. She then told him that she wanted to leave and that it would take her 3 hours to get where she needed to go. I then told her that I wouldnāt mind waiting for someone else if she had to leave, she replied āIām helping you am I not!!!ā So rude and I quickly excused myself and told her that I no longer needed her help. A couple of days later, a lady called and told me the price would be $1950, and that they 'never' do concrete base. After some argument, she 'generously' agreed to bring the price down to $1750 with a wooden base. A few days later, I received a text message asking me to click a link to choose my installation date which I did. Next day, a guy called me and said there was something wrong with the online booking system, and that they would have to delay my installation for at least 10 days. I had no choice so I agreed. On the day of installation, two 'professional' installers came and told me that I would have to pay extra as the backyard was not level. They further told me that they would not be able to install it on that day as it was windy. I told them I was not ready to pay even a single penny extra. They left in a hurry. I called again and wanted to talk to the supervisor, but he was busy in a meeting, and was supposed to call me back which he never did.
