Just finished dinner here. It was busy and came at 530pm with 7 people. 4 adults 3 kids. Hostesses were super awesome. They told us it was going to be about 30 minutes to wait but kept updating us along the way. They were fantastic. Our server was horrendous. First, it took about 10 minutes to come introduce herself to us, which fine gave us time to look over the menu for when she came. Boom drinks and food were ordered as soon as she came. The problem was that we waited 30-45 minutes to not only get our drinks but everybody in this waitresses section was in the same boat. Where did she go? We all went up to the hostess stand to say something, which again they were fantastic, but no manager came out to see how things were going, NOTHING! At the 1hr 20-minute mark(from entering restaurant)we finally got our food! We sat with finished plates to be cleared for another 15 minutes. She asked if we wanted the bill, and we replied that the kids need their dessert that comes with their kids meal (eye roll and a huff). My family is still in the restaurant while I have taken my 4 year old son to the car because he's falling asleep at the table, while my other 2 kids wait for their dessert. We are pushing 2 hours no dessert yet!!!! I'll try and remember to update with total time once I'm reunited with the rest of my family. UPDATE: Reunited with my family. Total time 2 hours 15 minutes. UPDATE 2 when we received the bill my husband noticed an extra 2 can dine added on, when he told the waitress she argued with my husband that it was correct, even though we order 3 kids meals, a quesadilla, and a hot chicken sandwich no 2 can dine. She than ripped my parents bill out of my dad's hand saying she must have forgotten it on his already paid bill (which it was on there). I understand being busy, we were actually about to walk out but our drinks finally came so we figured food should soon be following. At no time was there a Manger in the dinning room checking on things. At no time did the waitress apologize for the wait. My kids even said food great service horrible. Mary L was...
Read moreWent for dinner tonight. Our waitress Justine was so slow. When we first got there the hostess even checked to make sure we were served. The waitress took forever to come take our order, we watched her walking around and would walk by our table multiple times and didnât acknowledge us. Finally had our order taken and the robot brought it out. Not once did she come over and ask us how everything was. The food was lukewarm. The chicken was dry, the fries were old, the stuffing was cold and dry and the chalet sauce tasted like soap. We had to finally flag her down to ask for a takeout box for the person who I was with. She brought the box and just disappeared. Again just walked around and wouldnât acknowledge us. We had to flag her again to get the check. She took my gift card and again disappeared. We watched her bring dessert out to another table and again had to flag her down to pay the rest of the bill. Once she came she gave the machine to with the tip option up, not showing the total of the bill. Iâm sorry but it should be my option not automatically assumed without showing me the total first. At one point using the bathroom, itâs was disgusting! Smelt like urine and looked like urine was all over the walls and the floor. I immediately left and decided not to go in. Overall it wasnât badly busy and I saw all the other waitresses hustling around and our waitress neglected us. Horrible service, horrible surroundings and...
Read moreIâm not one to post but felt so upset with my visit today at this Swiss Chalet location that I had to share my experience. As a mom of a 2 year old with allergies to dairy, eggs, and peanuts (we carry his epi pen everywhere we go) I always do my due diligence in researching foods my son can have if we go out to eat. Before heading out to Swiss Chalet, I researched their online allergen menu and found a few items that were suitable for my son (no allergens listed).
My sister and I brought my two boys (2 and 5) to the restaurant and were seated. I had informed our waitress that my son was allergic to dairy, eggs, and peanuts and had explained that I checked their website to find a few potential options that he could have. Before placing an order for my two year old, with allergies, I had asked if they could just double check whether the allergens were in the food I was about to order. The waitress went to the kitchen and returned to our table to provide us with an answer. The waitress explained, and I quote, âsorry our manager is too busy to check.â At this point I actually couldnât even believe what I had heard and was so disgusted with that response that we picked up and left.
It is very sad to see that allergies are not taken into consideration and I will never return to this location again. I will also be sure to share my disgraceful experience with my family and friends. Very very disappointed. Wish I could give...
