UPDATE: We have recently come back here. It has been years. I have to say that the family run business with all family members involved including children is a treat to see. We ordered the chicken souvlaki and the gyro dinner because they don't have any other type of meat. I believe they do not offer pork as an option anymore as it is no longer on the menu. We ate in the restaurant which was quite busy with takeout and a few dine ins. They served the food in a huge generous plate with rice, greek salad and potato with chicken. The rice was plentiful if you are able to eat so much carbs but it was lacking of flavour this time. The greek salad was good but it hardly had any dressing. I felt that I was eating lettuce with greek toppings. The chicken was not big chunks this time but chopped up into small pieces to give the impression that there was a lot on the plate but in reality there was not. My gyro meat and chicken were ok and somewhat on the dry side. Not as flavorful and juicy as I had remembered. If you are looking for a place that serves more sides likes rice, salad and potato compared to protein, than this is the place. The service was great, prompt and delivered with a smile!
6 years ago.. I went here for the 1st time tonight with my husband. Honestly, I have to say it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The food was delicious! My husband had the pork souvlaki( should have been the chicken). Although, it wasn't what he ordered, it was still a great choice! He thoroughly enjoyed it!! We didn't want to make a fuss about getting the wrong meat. He said the meat was moist and flavorful! The dinner was a heaping mound of rice, 1 piece of potato, greek salad, tziziki and souvlaki piled ontop of it all. I had the gyros dinner which included rice, potato, greek salad, tziziki and a heaping mound of gyros meat. Mine was actually one of the best greek dinners , I have eaten so far! The owners both males and female are very personable and definitely made our stay very pleasurable! Thank you for...
Read moreThe Greek Kitchen's food is amazing! It tastes great and they have massive portions.
The one thing that is disappointing is that they do not have a website. They have Facebook, but their menu isn't on there either. All they have are a few not-so-great pictures of the menu in their store posted on Facebook. I went off of that and called in an order. When I picked up the food, the price was DOUBLE what the menu showed and when I asked about it, the response was "that menu is from like 5 years ago". My two $10.17 meals turned into $42, which I wasn't too impressed with. What was I going to do at that point when the food was already made and sitting there for me? They don't have menus in their store for you to take with you, the best they could do is let me take a picture of their updated store menu with my phone. So if you're ordering over the phone to pick up, you never really know what you might be paying, which I really don't like. I think they should definitely have a website or something by now - especially considering you can no longer eat in the store due to Covid, so your only option is to order and take out. I've never known another restaurant to not have an updated menu posted anywhere online, or at the very least, paper menus to take out of their store.
Overall, when I got home I was impressed with the food and would probably go there again. The bright side to the price issue is that now I know I could split one meal between two people and still have more than enough food because their portions are so big. It's just unfortunate that my first experience with them started off so...
Read moreAs we are all well aware that when you visit any store or restaurant they all have 1 million signs to read prior to your entry, well I didn't see the sign that stated 2 people at a time and got sternly (rather rudely) told by one of the twin men working the grill to stand outside as 2 men were ordering! I did so no argument or hesitation. I stated I was sorry and went to stand outside. As the 2 men finished ordering they opened the door to let me in, say thank you and I walked in to pick up my pre-ordered order. As I was waiting to pick up my order and pay, 2 girls walked in together to pick up a rather large order, one of the twins (men) tells them to sit behind this boarded off area to wait for their order! Now I'm not sure, but the last time I checked I was still a human being and a person that accounts for 1. I didn't say anything at the time as the twins are identical and I didn't know which said what. I don't appreciate being treated like that when I got 2 gyro dinners for over $40! When they are $12.99 each. And the food wasn't...
