With the intent on getting a new tv and having researched prior what models I was interested in looking at, I was lured into the store simply due to the financing options. I had never been into a Visions store before this. The person helping me was overly nice, albeit they do work on a commission here. After looking over the TVs firsthand, and receiving some insight from the salesman along with a nudge to buy a tv that wasn’t on my radar, I told him I was set on my decision to go with the LG C8. He offered to check if they had any of the previous models in stock to possibly save me some money, I agreed. He found a B7 located in another store, told me it would be on the longer end of a week or so to have it brought in. I agreed and the financing was approved. A few days after a week later, I decided to phone the store to inquire about the purchase I was still waiting for. I was told they didn’t have it and that they would phone me when they did. Another week passes, I went down to the store to talk to the salesman regarding the warranty he talked me into at a further reduced price on the tv. I was told he would have to re-up the price if I took off the warranty. A few days later I saw the B7 being clearanced at a competitor for the price he lowered my B7 to, with warranty. So I went back and asked to have the warranty removed and for them to price match the tv to the lower price. They did, eventually. And I left slightly satisfied but of course with no tv in hand almost a month later this was an empty victory. Finally a few days to a week later I called about the tv again, and asked to speak with the store manager. He was aware of the situation and was personally going to have a tv brought in by the following day. (Apparently, the store they thought had the original tv, had incorrect stock numbers and didn’t actually have it.) Why all of this took upwards of a month to figure out, I’ll never know. The following day I did get a delivery for the tv, but to my dismay, there was a repack sticker on top of the box stating the condition was used. Like... even after price matching and before tax this tv was $1999. And it’s used? What is going on. I phone the store and ask why they delivered a used tv. I was informed they took it out of the box... to see if it worked. They told me to plug it in try it and get back to them. I did, the remote had some slight scuffs on it but nothing serious. Tv itself was dusty and had finger prints and smudges on the screen. The LG App Store had Punjabi music in its search history.. I had no choice but to conclude this tv was in fact used. I phoned one last time about it. I was told to bring it back to the store if not satisfied. I chose delivery because I do not have a vehicle capable of transporting a tv that size. When I asked if they could at least reduce the price since it was pretty obvious it was used? “That tv is already below cost.” We can refund the delivery charge if you’d like. So $50 off a $2000 tv. I decided to cut my losses and have never gone back since. The original salesman was nice, but like I said, they work on commission. Other than that, I’ll go to their competitor for my sound system and make sure I walk out with...
Read moreAfter standing in the cold for 2 and a half hours when I was freezing but my radio was supposed to be done already. My van has music again however I will never go back to Visions Electronics. Bought a radio asked them what I needed to install it. I was told I needed 3 parts on Nov. 1, 2020. I ordered the parts as they were not in stock. On Nov. 5, 2020 I was told the parts are in but that I needed one more part and was sorry that he missed it. This one part cost more then all 3 of the other parts put together but i ordered it. After a couple of weeks I asked if the part was in ant told no. Another week passed and again asked about this part and was then told it was on back order that they would call me when it was in. Dec. 20, 2020. No one called but I asked again and yes the part was finally in (who knows for how long as no one bothered to call me). I let that go for the moment. I set an appointment for it all to be installed and well paying for the installation on dec. 20, I was asked if I needed it hooked up to the steering wheel, I said yes and paid more then originally quoted so that it was hook up to the steering wheel. Today Jan. 16, 2021 appointment 12pm-6 (not sure why they need so much time) I dropped the van off at 11:45. Walk 30 mins home with a sore leg after my fall on Wednesday. Finally 3pm I get a call to come pick up my van. Walk 30 mins back. I'm there by 330pm handed my keys to be told that everything went great and it's ready to go. I get into my van excited to finally have music again first thing I do is try my steering wheel and it's not working at all. Took my Bill's and walked back up to the door wait patiently as someone is in front of me and then they go to sit down as if I'm not even there, like what? I say hello. I paid for everything to be hooked up to the steering wheel and it's not the guy who did all my cashing out tried to say I didn't. That's when I said I didn't want to talk to him anymore, I wanted someone else. Talked to someone else turns out the person/manager selling me everything didn't know what he was doing and there was another part I needed to buy in order for them to hook it up to the steering wheel. I'm sure you everyone can imagine how upset I was to learn this, two half months later yet another part for a final product. They had to talk to higher up managers as I was so upset at them. I did get a discount on the last part but it was still 90 plus taxes. And they installed well I stood outside on Jan. 16th in the cold until 5:40pm (I was outside from 3pm until 5:40pm) because of...
Read moreThank you to Nathan F. at the Hamilton store for your outstanding service.
I found out about Visions Electronics through searching for a product which brought me into the Hamilton store. I first called and spoke with Nathan F. who was very helpful, was not in a rush and answered all my questions. I later went to the store to purchase my order and got drawn to the Yamaha receivers. Nathan started by asking me what my current set up was and what I was looking to connect to. I thought I need a receiver but wanting a TV and wireless speakers, etc. Nathan suggested the AV home theatre receiver would be needed not just a receiver and continued to explain the difference between the two. I showed him pictures of my existing connections that I would need. He also made a suggestion for banana connections which I had been thinking of. During our conversation another person came into the room and I offered Nathan to see if he had any questions as I decided to make the purchase and he said I’m taking care of you and would get another store rep. over to help if need and within seconds another person was there. I made the purchases and I am very happy with how they all perform.
The point of this detailed letter is that Nathan asked what I wanted to do as a set up not just sell me a receiver and be unhappy that it didn’t do want I wanted. He was patient with my lack of knowledge. He was not pushy and he made suggestions, not - you need this and when I offered he help another customer he stayed with me to answer questions. Those qualities are rare in a salesperson. I recommend shopping at Vision Electronics and if your in Hamilton...
