I would like to share a recent experience I had at your Sephora store which was quite unpleasant and embarrassing for me and my friend.
I am a frequent customer of Sephora and have always had positive experiences until now. However, during my recent visit to the store, I was approached in a way that made me extremely uncomfortable. The salesperson on duty seemed to be constantly following and watching us, which gave the impression that she suspected our intentions in the store. She frequently asked us if we were done, which made us feel pressured and unable to choose products calmly.
Furthermore, as a person from a foreign country and Latina, I felt that this overly vigilant approach could be related to my foreign status in the store. This experience made us feel discriminated against and unwelcome in the store, something I would never expect from an establishment like yours.
I understand that security and loss prevention are legitimate concerns for any retailer, but the approach used by the salesperson was overly intrusive and inappropriate. I would like to suggest a review of customer service practices to prevent other customers from feeling the same way in the future.

They were offering drinks to every client, greeting each one, offering help, except me. I was looked up & down many times & ignored. I have been a makeup artist for over a decade. Every time Iām done up & stocking my kit I am treated well. What I witnessed that day shows lack of training & poor management. I say this because the store manager was right at the front & ignored me too. Do better Sephora.
Update April ā24. I wanted to give the store another chance, went to buy specific items. Not greeted by the literal door greeter once again, not one staff member assisted me or offered to. I was definitely being watched by numerous staff members but not once offered any assistance. I checked out, spent a few hundred dollars & only then the door greeter said goodbye. How sad that they have failed to improve their customer service. Mayfair location is the best location with lovely staff, worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in a couple of months ago and was really disappointed by most interactions with staff that I had. The girl who greeted me when I came was too busy to help me when I needed it. I had to interrupt 2 staff members who were talking on the floor to ask for help (after ivstodd by them for a full minute without any recognition), and they asked a 3rd staff member to help me - she was amazing. By the time I went to the counter with hundreds worth of stuff, the 2 girls behind the counter were talking about other staff members, their lunch plans, and seemed disinterested in checking me out. When asked if anyone helped me: I mentioned the girl who actually helped me, and decided to add that the greeter (I said her name) was too busy... but the girl behind the counter heard her name and immediately chimed in with "oh, shes so great" (overtop of me saying she was too busy) and I have a suspicion she was given credit for helping me.
It was very disheartening as a woman in her 40s to feel so irrelevant as a customer in a Sephora filled with 20-something,...
