Updated review:
Last week I had slices at the quadra location and it reminded me why I liked Alibaba. So tonight being super busy with kids activities I decided to try the Westshore location again. What a waste of money.
Despite being delivered in less than 30 minutes the boxes were soggy. The dough was blah, what little sauce there was on the pizzas was watery and didn't have the usual tang. On the entire barcelona there was maybe 3 individual cloves of garlic and again the spinach was charred to a crisp. Requested no onions sub pineapple due to a food reaction within the family and got more onions than even I would like if I had wanted them, and no pineapple. Tasted like literally nothing on the Barcelona but charred spinach and onions. My wife couldn't have more than a mouthful before having a reaction.
Asked for pineapple on half the carnivore for my daughter.. my son who hates pineapple on pizza counted the pineapple chunks, 7 slivers (couldn't even call them pieces or chunks) spread over 2 slices of the pizza happily declared 3/4 of the pizza was his.
Neither of the kids ate more than 2 pieces saying it didn't taste good... Teenage kids turning down pizza even bad pizza????? That says something
Not even worth my time to call and complain after last time.
For a local chain the variation between locations is abysmal
Will get $2 pizza from the freezer aisle at Walmart before ordering from this location again
Original review:
Have been ordering from alibaba for years. Usually the best pizza in town.
Tonight had a bad experience. While nothing else on the pizza had that nice brown the spinach was all blackened and crumbled to dust when touched.. burnt spinach tastes horrible.
Called in to let them know our experience. Got "I cut you pizza personally and didn't see anything wrong with it" and "if the spinach isn't completely covered by cheese it'll char". To me those were contradicting statements. If you cut it you should have seen the black powdery 'spinach'. Ive been ordering the same pizza for years and I can say without doubt that the spinach was completely dried out before it was put on.
They did offer to replace the pizza, but between 4 of us we had already eaten the majority of it and didn't want to be that guy. Just wanted to let them know. And when I said that I was hung up on.
Only reason I'm leaving this review is because the lady i spoke with didn't seem interested In feed back, but I feel this company's management deserves to know customer experiences, and it will not stop me from ordering from them again. However I may have to order from a...
Read moreWorst pizza and worst customer service we've ever experienced in our lifetime. I wouldn't even gift one star but have to in order to post my review. If there were negative stars, Millstream's Ali baba Pizza in Langford would earn them. We have three celiac-wheat gluten allergic-people in our family. We know when we order from a restaurant or take out place that we're walking a somewhat dangerous line, but this Alibaba pizza experience was startling in it's dismissive follow-up and totally oblivious take on food allergies. Ali baba offers gluten free pizzas-many places do these days. Celiac allergies are, unfortunately, relatively commonplace... So much so that most restaurants offer alternatives and gf entrees. The digestive and neurological consequences of eating wheat gluten when one is celiac are significant. We ordered four pizzas-two of them were to be wheat free/gluten free. When we received the pizzas, none of the boxes were labelled wheat free. One was a stand out and had to be wheat free because it was the only gf Tuscany ordered. Three others were carnivores off the special menu. We were left to judge the pizza by its thin crust-typically gf. My son suffered a night of gut pain, washroom visits, migraine, swollen joints, ...we were just shy of heading to hospital. He is contending with the physiological consequences a day after consumption and likely will for the next few days. When my partner called to enquire about the status of the pizzas and suggest labeling of the boxes, the owner/operator was uncaring and blatantly unapologetic. Label your boxes you ignorant man. Our household took a serious health hit from eating there. In honesty, I'll own that mistake. It would be nice to eat a gf pizza slice now and then especially if it's promoted as one. However, the follow up conversation with the owner was so offensive, so lacking in tact, and so openly uncaring that I'd like to report the establishment to the BBB. I recommend you not rely on Ali Baba pizza-no apologies for the mistake, rude, dismissive and even...
