It's mediocre at best. Wish I took some photos but oh well. It's just a very basic, very small pop up shop. Despite the nice staff, who are more than likely not paid well, nothing special really stands out. They only have ice cream and milk shakes...so not much variety. I wish they had funnel cakes. Where are the, plural, "Sweets and Treats"? I mean they had a lot of flavors, but is that the real variety customers are looking for, I think not. They exclusively use Kawartha Dairy ice cream which is a good and real ice cream brand but nothing made on location or anything like that where as another place near me makes their own ice cream, gelato, chocolates, all kinds of things which is true variety worth the addition of "sweets and treats" to the name. It's even cheaper and better tasting at the one closer to where I live. Dock Side's pricing is just to high. A milkshake will run you gut punching $10.50. Which means if you have a family on a budget, you're paying too much for ice cream. Consider their using ice cream they get in huge barrels that are manufactured in a factory, why are they making their customers pay a little over $3 more than the money I pay at a place that makes their products from scratch. You can get a 3 or so litres of Kawartha Dairy ice cream at the corner store for less than $15, add that and milk into a blender and there's your milkshake. Thinking about it all, there's one term to describe Dock Side's Sweets and Treats: a tourist trap. At the bottom line, there's nothing that's telling me to return to Dock Side's...

I recently visited Dockside Sweets and Treats and was thoroughly impressed with their ice cream selection! The Kwartha flavor was absolutely delicious and a standout for me. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making for a pleasant overall experience.
However, I couldn't help but feel that something was missing - coconut ice cream! As a coconut lover, I think this flavor would take Dockside Sweets and Treats to the next level. It's a classic flavor combination that pairs perfectly with so many other.
Despite this omission, I would still highly recommend Dockside Sweets and Treats to anyone with a sweet tooth. Their ice cream is creamy and rich, and the Kwartha is a must-try. With the addition of coconut ice...

I also saw her licking her finger while she was making waffle cones….the 3 stars I gave are for the young girls working, because they were so polite and hardworking. Somebody needs to speak with the older woman, because when she is working, I avoid...
