on my adventure to Midland to find butter tarts I was told this is the only place that had chocolate covered butter tarts so I had to try it. I thought the whole cart would be covered in chocolate but I guess just the middle part was very different and very good tasting butter tart. They also make an amazing chocolate chip oatmeal muffin. wanted to spend the day in Midland but the construction was a little bit of a turn off so we got out butter tarts and left Very good butter tart and the muffin was good as well. Came to visit Midland and my friend and I ran across this place. Sadly we were "those people" that walked in before closing. Owner didn't even blink, just gave us great service and really friendly conversation. Amazing chocolate to pick from, all in house hand-made with no preservatives, so for me that is an instant win. Had a peanut butter cup, it was so good, way better than a store bought Recess. Bought some handmade truffles and hot chocolate too. The butter tarts are fabulous. Chocolate covered...all homemade at the shop. I had a Skor buttertart, covered in chocolate and skor bar. Delicious! I also had a buttertart milkshake, to die for. And a lavender lemonade. Delicious. My kid had chocolate vanilla twist one cream and loved it.

The owner was fabulous, friendly and passionate about his shop, butter tarts, fudge and chocolate made in store.

I had to return to the shop on my last day in Midland to bring back buttertarts to my family and friends. And also buy a chocolate milkshake and another lavender lemonade for...
