So here's the thing, Noors Collection no doubt can provide you with beautiful ready made and custom designed dresses, but when it comes to customer service, it's absolute garbage. Being a new developing business, that's only within its first year of running, you would think that the owner would be more cautious of the way she treats her customers. Let's just say, the only wedding disaster I had, was the one that was caused by Noors Collection . I had ordered about 8 custom made dresses from her, with two of them being my wedding dresses. Her way of ordering custom dresses, was making any dress you want , all you have to do is show her a picture. I went with a total of 6 women to place my wedding dress order, and we all agreed(including the owner) that it would look exactly like the photo , including the same material that's shown, which was silk. At the time, she did not even mention to us that this dress will not hold up if it's made in silk, but instead went ahead with this 2000$ dress order and promised me it would be done in April. April came around, and the date was pushed to May. (I lived in Montreal at the time , so rearranging a schedule with work was quite difficult). May came around and she said to me, you can come pick it up, it should come when you get here Inshallah. I got there, and she tells me that the dress will only get here the day after I go back home. So once again I had to change my schedule with work and cancel another shift so I can stay in Ontario an extra day. When I finally went to pick up my dresses , one of them turned out absolutely perfect Alhumdulilah. However, the other one, that was supposed to be made in silk, was made entirely in CHIFFON. This was a huge difference when it comes to what I ordered. She then went on to say that we had discussed this, and that this dress was impossible to make in silk. (If this was the case I would never had placed this dress to order and instead would have chosen another style). She accused me and my family of lying (which is the number one thing you DO NOT do to a customer) and created a scene and refused to give me my money back. After two hours of arguing this was her solution as well as her exact words:
" Fine, don't take your wedding dress. I'll give you your money back. BUT now I'm not giving you ANY of the dresses you ordered. Because since you are making my life hell, I will now make your life hell". Yeah that's right. That's exactly what she said. What kind of business runs like that ?
To be honest, she could be extremely successful with the beauty of her products and the quality of it, but once you make the wrong turn with her, you should watch out. She's going to try to make your life hell. Customer satisfaction does not exist...
Read moreI came from far to Milton to find my wedding dress and tried just about every boutique in the GTA with no luck - until I came to Noors collection. The moment I stepped in the shop, one of the aunties there was ready to help me, show me a few wedding outfits, and ease my anxiety about the wedding. I luckily found the dress I wanted and Zarqa aunty took my measurements and payment. 6 months later, I got my dress right on time as she had told me, despite COVID-19 restrictions. I texted her whenever I had a question and she responded immediately and reassured me along the way.
The quality of my dress was unbeatable and people have been asking me from all around where I got my wedding dress. If you know desi wear, you will understand the level of complicity and the amount of work that went into the bridal outfits at Noors collection. As such, my dress was nothing short of extraordinary! Some things to know before you go in: Don’t be rude - book your appointment so they have the bridal section and bridal outfits ready to show you. There is a limit to try dresses on - Unlike some wedding gowns, these dresses have very delicate beading. If everyone were allowed to try on as many as they wanted, the dresses would get damaged. Bring deposit money - you will be required to put down a deposit for your dress. This is standard. If you want to customize your outfit, think about every single detail of the dress. Don’t just say pink and green because the beads may be green and you may want them only pink! Be patient - This is a business with real people. They must like you and you must like them to make the transaction pleasant. Pricing - This is not a cheap boutique. They offer high quality outfits that will last you a long time. They do have deals and sales where you can save big, but don’t bargain expecting a thousand off the price tag because your chachi in Pakistan said she can make you the same for less. Be honest about your budget and Zarqa Aunty will work with you.
Because my wedding dress was such a success, I actually ordered another dress from Noors Collections. The 2nd dress I got was also stunning . I ordered this from Zarqa aunty right from the comfort of my home after I saw it on IG. It came on time, and with a little gift for my nikkah :). In all, Zarqa Aunty and Noors collection is now my go to boutique for quality Pakistani-wear. I highly recommend them for a seamless shopping experience...
Read moreTL;DR: extremely poor customer service, staff will make you feel like you are worthless if you do not fit into a size 0 dress.
I came across Noors Collection about a year ago in preparation for my cousin's wedding and bought so many outfits for my sister, mom and myself. Fast forward to planning my own engagement party, I asked my friends to come to the store and check out Noors' dresses for my engagement. Zarqa and Robina were the two ladies that were helping us at the store. My friend tried on a dress that was gorgeous and fit nicely on her, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to buy it yet without checking out other places. A couple days later, we decide it's worthwhile to go and have a second look at the dress, maybe with our moms/sisters so that we can get second opinions. I called Zarqa to see if the dress is still in stock to which she replied "it is in stock, but we recommend that you not come into the store if your friend is going to try it on for a second time. she is heavy and if she damages our dress, it is harder for us to sell. if she wants to buy the dress, then for sure, please come and try, if not, we recommend you don't come".
I've been so upset about this encounter, because I trusted that Zarqa, as the owner of the store, should know better than to speak about potential customers in this way and it was the last thing that I expected. It was insulting and entirely unprofessional. Presumably, in realizing that the conversation wasn't pleasant for me, she texted me saying "sorry beta, I hope you understand". What is there to understand about that conversation? I'm deeply offended. Had I known earlier about the kind of people that work at this store, I wouldn't give them so much of my business, I wouldn't ever recommend it to anyone and I certainly wouldn't have brought my friends to this store only to have them face discrimination and body shaming. It's beyond disappointing and I hope that this review saves someone else the trouble of going through a similarly uncomfortable experience.
Side note: if the dresses here are so delicate that they tear from a couple of try ons, you must wonder how poor the quality of...
