BEWARE OF DR MIRANDA RANIERI!! she is unethical and will tell lies on your documents if they have to be sent to your doctor. I was lucky enough to see and read a letter she sent my family doctor (and I did the request) with some stuff she said that NOT true at all. About a week after her diagnosis, I called her and said that we not coming back for the prescription because Iāve decided to get a second opinion regarding my childās issue and that I want her to send a copy of the results to my family doctor. She told my family doctor that SHE IS THE ONE THAT URGED ME TO GET SECOND OPINION (which is so not true š), then she followed saying that I REFUSED TO BRING BACK MY CHILD TO HER AND I REFUSED TO GET CHILD EYE GLASSES. In fact, she diagnosed my child with an eye problem and I decided to get a second opinion (I guess she didnāt like it or wanted me to spend money there as she was being pushy about getting the glasses at there location). And actually, one of the reasons I decided to get a second opinion is that while she was testing my childās eyes, my child seemed very confused and I could see it which was quite her fault because of the way she was showing and naming the objects of the screen.
Iām not gonna leave it like this, I will try my best to see what can be done because this is NOT okay! I contacted her and will wait for a call back (for explanation or at least for an apology if itās a mistake from her side) if not, Iāll file a complaint with the College of Ontario optometrist. Who else can we trust nowadays if we cannot trust our health practitioners!!!!! And if she even tries to deny what I say, letās play back that phone call i made to her office and letās listen to it.
*edited: She called me and after a good 5mns or so of back and forth between us, she finally said she is sorry that she wrote the letter like the way she did and Apologized! Thatās the only thing I wanted her admit and realize that she did a mistake! Done and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām a long time patient/customer at Queensway Optometric Center; for about 20 years. Actually, my whole family is.
My glasses broke about three weeks ago, and I ordered new ones at Queensway Optometric Center. I was told that usual wait time is about two weeks, but since it is a kind of an emergency, they will rush the order and will try to get it sooner. A week had passed, and I received no communication. I called and left two messages. Then they called me back and said that my glasses were ready, but the lenses were incorrect, so they had to send them back. They said that they will rush to have them finished asap. Again, a week had passed, and again, nothing. So, this morning I called again, and was advised that my glasses are not ready yet but will be in the few days. Naturally I got upset. I said to the lady who answered the phone that my being upset is not directed at her but rather that I paid full price at the time I ordered the glasses - upfront. Secondly, should I have been advised that they cannot accommodate within 2 weeks, I would have gone somewhere else. Simply because I needed the new glasses as I cannot drive without them, and I need them for work. At the end, the customer service representative said: "you said your piece, now my turn I'm going to say mine". How's that for customer service? I was promised delivery within 2 weeks, possibly even less, paid a huge amount of money and got treated like that at the end.
Then within 5 minutes, I got a phone call that my glasses were ready!? How's that possible?
I will gladly come back to the eye examiner as the doctors are amazing. But the dispensary? Never again. And word of the advice for better customer service: under promise and over deliver is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn Dec.12, 2022 i had an appointment to see Dr. Black. I was intercepted by one of the receptionists who asked me to wear a mask. After informing her that I am unable to wear a mask due to medical reasons she said « no exceptionsĀ Ā» to their mask policy. Few minutes after I made my way to the sitting area, a lady (without identifying herself) approaches me and insisted to talk to me in private. After we walked to the hallway away from the waiting area, that lady has given herself permission to ask about specificities of my medical condition that hinders me from wearing a mask. Last time I checked, this kind of behaviour is not only unacceptable but not legitā¦anything changed since thenā¦?! I had informed her briefly of my medical condition for the sake of deflating the situation so maybe she would show some empathy and let things be: She said she had to consult with the doctor as to why my appointment is booked?! Meanwhile asked me to stay in the hallway and not use the waiting area - as if I am coming from a different planet and/or even discriminated against!
I made my way out and told her to cancel my appointment!
This left me thinking of How decent and professional that ladyās behaviour was? Was that a violation of my Human Rights?
It is sad and shameful to see such behaviour still exist in Canada! Replying to your message:
It is surprising to see that despite of your poor behaviour in dealing with me you still feel no remorse and do not feel the need to apologize!
I guess hiding behind safety slogans does not give you permission to mistreat peopleā¦I have no interest in contacting you back nor using your clinic services anymore and do not recommend your...
