I have been living here for over 5 years. Great place to live. Close to downtown. It has a trail that goes along the riverside, with a lot of greens. There's a little forest that is secluded and beautiful. There's also a golf course, but I can't care less. Very safe place for families with kids. Several parks for kids to play. The biking/hiking trail is connected to the estacade that goes to Saint-Catherine - that is a good 10 some k biking. Perfect for people who like outdoor life. North point is a different story, with many high rises. The good thing is that it's close to the estacade and roundabouts to highways. I would stay at the South part because I like all the greens.
The only 2 downsides. Traffic to South Shore can cause traffic during rush hours, and almost every weekend 1 of the 2 highways is closed for road constructions, then you have to take detours to go to places. Maybe one day the construction will be finally done. Overall, I love this place, and would stay here forever, but I can't, this brings another downside: the price of houses and condos are very very high! I found it much higher than anywhere else. Look at Westmount, a 2 million house is a mansion, on Nuns' island, you can buy only a normal house, or just a high-end condo. But rent is affordable comparing to the rest of the island of Montreal, and the renting office is usually very helpful, very responsive to any...
ย ย ย Read moreWhen you decide to visit and get to know Nunsโ Island in Montreal, get ready to FALL IN LOVE. It is definitely one of the most beautiful and well-located โneighborhoodsโ on the Island of Montreal. Nunsโ Island actually belongs to the city of Verdun. This island has everything you need to live peacefully! Schools, daycares, gyms, grocery stores, etc.!
Its downsides, if we can call them that, are that it has only two entrances and two exits. At times, traffic to Brossard or getting in from the Champlain Bridge can become challenging. Other than that, if youโre thinking of living on Nunsโ Island, keep in mind that itโs a magical place, and leaving it will be hard because youโre going to fall in love!

Escuelas, guarderรญas, gimnasio, tiendas para comida etc.!

So for young people might get boring at times since it is pretty far from any destination in Montreal or Brossard. Very nice for walks and biking. Many tennis courts. Bus runs late straight to/from downtown. They will be building a train station in the...
