The stop sign not far off is hardly ever followed by traffic that tends to whip through and if you're walking almost run you over. It would be nice if they made the STOP sign taller for people to see more visible as well as maybe a speed bump for good measure against those who don't fully understand a stop sign or that a parking lot speed is about 20km.
