Foodland Chippawa — Local services in Niagara Falls

I shop at your store almost three times a week, and I’ve shopped there so often that the staff at the checkout recognize me. Today, while I was standing in line and placing my items on the belt, the older woman at the cash register spoke to me in a very disrespectful, rude, and unpleasant tone. She asked why I hadn’t placed the divider in front of my items. However, the customer before me was still waiting to pay and didn’t have anything left on the belt, and it was clearly my turn. The cashier clearly knew that the items on the belt were mine. Still, she spoke to me in a very rude way and said I should have placed the divider and that I need to be more careful next time. She was so rude that both the customer before me and I just looked at each other in shock.

I will never, ever come back to shop at that store again. It’s really disappointing and unacceptable to be treated that way, especially as a regular customer. I’m truly sorry and...

I take great pride in viewing this as MY grocery store in Chippawa, on the South side of Niagara Falls, Ontario. My Foodland has a pretty decent selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. They have a decent selection of meats, a nice deli/bakery, all the dairy products, frozen foods, and cleaning supplies anyone would require. On top of that, my Foodland was one of the first grocery stores to house and beer and LCBO outlet. Further, my Foodland has recently brought me in to shop and spend money I normally wouldn't with Air Miles "Blue Friday" events. I love it. Parking along both sides of the street in front of the store is supplemented by a small lot at the side of the store. I support my Foodland because it almost always means I don't have to leave Chippawa to buy food, groceries, and even beer and wine. Enjoy making it YOUR...

It would have been okay, it's just that the staff at checkout had to embarrass me by insisting on checking my LCBO package I guess to make sure I was not Pilfering, and I totally would not have minded, but since I'm the only one she insisted on checking, yet most of the other shoppers were also coming from the LCBO and were carrying packages identical to mine, I concluded that I was being accused of SWB. But the store is well stoked and the prices are reasonable. Besides its the only place with an open LCBO during these trying times...
