The Old Farm Market — Local services in Oak Bay

I have been thoroughly impressed by this local grocery store. Produce is abundant and locally sourced as much as possible. Easy to purchase the majority of my groceries here depending on my menu. The size of store is perfect as you don't get lost in it. You can get in and out with a multitude of items without spending much time at all. The sandwich bar is delicious with the direct your own wrap or sandwich making. Great to grab for a last minute picnic at the beach or in the park nearby. Homemade meat pies have been a favourite for last minute meals. Good bread selection. Quality products. They are always reviewing and adjusting the products depending on the demand. I believe they are eager to find out what regulars would like in the store and would consider suggestions. Good to visit if you are...

Terrible. I needed some things from the Old Farm and but was tight for time so checked on their website re: their hours. They close at 7pm. However, it’s 6:30 and I’m now here at the store, and it looks like they have been closed for a while. There are signs all over the doors that state they are open from 7-7. I want to support small local businesses but not if they are incredibly inept, or have zero respect for their customers (and the Old Farm is one of these options, but also possibly both). I’m out - there are lots of grocery stores in the neighbourhood who wouldn’t hang their customers out to dry like...

My favorite neighbourhood food store!! I am so happy this awesome place have SOMETIME good prices for specific organic vegetables.

For some weeks we were able to buy nice organic potatoes 5l. bags for little bit less than $3. During 2 weeks they sold avocados for close to $1.5 , or organic green chards for $1.5 of course that's is not always the case, but there's always some sales on organic vegetables!!!

And when we ask for some special product they do not have, they always bring to the store what we suggest, like yogourt Olympic gluten free organic or some special cheese.

The staff is always friendly...
