Southdale Fruit Market — Local services in Ontario

I was honestly a little shocked when we went in to pick up a toogoodtogo order. We were just going to let them have the money and leave but decided it was unfair to judge from outside and went in. I am honestly more than a little surprised they are able to be open. Having many years in the grocery game behind me, I can say it seems like there are no minimum food safety requirements for this store. Just the open boxes of seeds and nut mix right at the door on the floor is enough for me. If you are looking for this variety of foodstuffs, there just has to be a better place to look. This is like visiting a foreign land from days long ago past and the dank hole in the wall room they were wheeling "fresh" products from was....not believable, dark, wet...anyways,...

Saw this shop well walking by and saw a watermelon and thought I would buy it for my family and when I went to pay the lady at the counter she said it was 12 dollars, still paid for it but when I asked her about the price as I thought twelve dollars was a bit expensive for one watermelon she just ignored what I said.
