Island Flavour — Restaurant in Ontario

What a joke. This place promotes false advertising. Ordered the chicken wrap, stated as $8 on the menu. They tried charging me $15. Wouldn't honour the price on their menu. They called the owner and still wouldn't honour it. Guess this place hates customer service. Would give zero stars if I could.

Edit: Now I see the owner has the tenacity to respond to my comment with, "Good luck paying 8 dollar for a roti in Canada". What a rude, condensing and unprofessional response. You've further shown the public your lack of care for customer service. Your MENU clearly and visibility stated the price, and you were unwilling to honor what your customer ordered. No apology, no attempt to rectify the situation after making your customer wait and waste his entire lunch time during work only to leave hungry and forced to take his business elsewhere. No care or empathy for your customer at all. Just "good luck". Stay far away...

I recently had the opportunity to spent some extensive time at Island Flavour, and I must express my disappointment with my experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a quality dining experience.

During my time there, I was quite concerned about the hygiene practices observed. I witnessed staff handling both food and the establishment's property without wearing gloves, which raises serious health concerns. Moreover, the food itself did not seem to be stored properly, and freshness was noticeably lacking.

To add to my unease, I also spotted mice and various bugs within the premises, which is unacceptable for any dining establishment. Given these observations, I strongly advise anyone looking for fresh and quality food to look elsewhere. FINALLY! Took me 3 years to find this gem in London. Growing up on Eglinton West in Toronto there was no shortage of authentic Caribbean cuisine. Since moving to London I’ve been on the hunt for a place that offered these same flavours and have been disappointed time and time again. 😭

I had the jerk chicken lunch with ox tail sauce , slaw and two spicy patties. The patties I would give a 4 of 5 they’re good but I’ve had better.

Food was on point. 💯 I immediately called my best friend and told her I had found what I had spent so much time looking for.

Island Flavour 🌴 is the real deal and the people are so nice. Make this your next stop and don’t forget your pineapple drank 😏 Cheers!
