I completely agree with the below comments. We live literally a 2 walk away and choose to drive to further locations to avoid this restaurant. The language barrier is absolutely an issue and is incredibly annoying. Drives customers even further away than the other issues already do. They also only ever have 1 person working at any given time despite this being in a busy spot. That means that 1 employee is making food and cashing people out and touching filthy money and cash surfaces and no hand washing happens in between those 2 tasks because there’s usually a line up and they panic to serve the next person. Absolutely repulsive! I understand minimum wage has increased but you are seriously putting your consumers at risk for illness by not maintaining health standards! We actually walked out because of this issue yesterday after deciding to give this restaurant another shot. That and the fact that the employee working said it was his very first day and he was running the store alone! What the hell?
Consistency and being cheap is the biggest problem. I’m vegetarian so all I get is veggies yet they still only give me a few pieces of the ingredients I ask for so I ALWAYS have to ask at least 3 times to add more and even after that I’m unsatisfied and am treated like a nuisance. I always ask for sauce on the side because like the toppings, they chince you out hard. The one time I asked for 2 on the side which is never an issue anywhere else, the MANAGER whispered to the girl to only fill them up half way. So I left with 2 side sauces but both half full so in reality 1 side dressing. How cheap can you be! The ingredients do not meet subways Slogan always fresh either. Husband and I both ordered the sub of the day with the same bread.(which was fresh that's the only good thing about this place) The girl asked my husband what kind of cheesehe wanted ...he told her and also asked if he wanted it toasted and he said no. Without even ASKING me she proceeds to put on the cheese my husband asked for in his on MINE so I stopped her and said no I don't want that I want feta on it. She asked me if I wanted it toasted before applying the cheese and i said "a little bit" (she put it in for well over the little bit I wanted so another strike) Well, she took that as me asking for a little feta cheese too because she hardly put any on. I was so mad. Then she starts my husbands sandwich she grabs a mound full of iceberg cheap ass lettuce ready to put on it and he says no I want spinach. Literally put 6 spinach leaves on it so he told her to put more on. So after that every topping we wanted we would have to tell her to put extra on it. She did not smile or make any eye contact with us during the whole duration. So we paid and sat down at one of the many dirty tables in the place and ate the cheapest most unenjoyable subs ever. We will NEVER come back to this location. Serve your customers properly, be generous with your toppings dont be down right cheap, and keep your place CLEAN! If you want great subs with generous happy staff we reccomend three locations: baseline at wharncliffe beside McDonalds, the subway in the foodland plaza in lambeth, and the one on Wellington road kiddie corner to the Costco near the 401 (they're the best) boycott this southdale road...
Read moreI've been coming here for a hot minute and I think I might not return. I went in not too long ago and there was about 3 people lined up. Sure, that's fine, but there's a new hire there by himself. I waited about 20 minutes which again, was fine. I was patient and he made my sub kind of slowly. Whatever, sure. But then when I got to payment, he looked me up and down with a face and said "hmm...10 dollars". Like what? Did he upcharge me for a 6 inch??? It seemed so derogatory like he just hated my guts or something. Every other time I come in here, everyone is so welcoming and pleasing and my FOOTLONG is no more that 15 bucks. How is a 6 inch of the same kind 10? Maybe it's my fault for not paying attention to listed pricing but the tone he had made it feel like I was given a random upcharge for what I feel is 0 reason.
