Staples — Local services in Ontario

Went on to use Fed Ex. Apparently, the address I gave to the Staples employee, he couldn't get the 1 job he has to do right. I am sending to an address that was given to me, I'm asked to confirm address. Address they showed me was correct, however I didn't realize the Unit number wasn't on there's yes it was correct , the information shows. Either way, the did behind the counter can't read the few text I have for an address, the only part of the job that matters.

I go back in an hour later and my package is gone , I say nicely, the person I sent the tracking number to says you missed the unit number ( again this is the first time I seen the address too, didn't realize the guy behind the counter couldn't get it right on his own) , can I change that. Theycannot help me now that it's sent out.

He got someone else to double check, was a woman, maybe a manager not sure. Neither were the original guy who can't read an address unit number and copy into a computer. Well doesn't that dude who messed it up come by, read the address I gave him again, in from of the other 2 employees and says " my bad dude, sorry" . That's why I ask to confirm with you twice. Yes I did confirm, but I let was also my first time seeing the address, I confirmed the information was correct. But he was the one that FORGOT the unit number. Yes the rest was correct, name , address, postal code etc. I didn't realize he forgot the unit number. Isn't that the only job. So after he said " my bad dude, sorry" , the woman employee and a customer who was waiting to ship some mail startled verbally attacking me, then I had another customer start up. So I have 3 eolmployees and 2 customers picking on me because the eolmployees cannot read. The one who messed up the address and didn't add the unit number, even said after, he was vision impaired. He didn't have glasses. So I said I don't believe you, I think that's a lie. You can read the rest but not the unit number. You just told me " my bad dude, sorry" and that your vision impaired. Then why are you working on something that requires being literate enough tj at least copy the proper address. Thing is, the dude was on point and I do not believe he was vision impaired, he didn't even have glasses and he was very attentive and good at his job at the time, I didn't think he would have messed it up. People make mistakes but don't blame me, then bully me. Then say I'm being rude and start teaming up on me with other customers. Then the girl wanted ME to leave because I am upset they are clearly lying and can't do their job and call them out on it, saying IM being rude. I didn't not swear one time at all and was not rude. It was completely uncalled for when they cannot read and they cannot get an address right, then only job they need to do correctly... I should be able to hand them an address and they should be able to copy 100 % , and SEE ALL the information, not just selective vision. I've heard of selective hearing but not selective vision. Unfortunately this is not even a FED ex location but you have to go there. I hope I can talk to the owner about this ridiculous behavior, but I know for sure, I will tell everyone to avoid at all costs and never shop at Staples at...

They are unreliable, unprofessional like, are quick to defend themselves when they are very much in the wrong, will treat the customer with disrespect and idiotically. The "Tech easy" is a scam. They will take advantage of you for money. If your device has an issue/broken they will waste your time and say "buy a new one".

I went in to Staples "Tech Easy" as my Samsung Tablet's touch/LCD/display screen cracked. Feeling confident I would leave it in the hands of professionals. They told me I would have to pay 50$ to send it away to the depot where it would get a diagnostics. Even though I knew what was already wrong with it, I just wanted it fix. But that doesn't work with them. So I send it off anyways, and in a matter of days I receive a call. However I missed the call, twice, due to the fact I work all-day. I tried calling back the number only to hear a voice-recording asking me to leave a message and they will get back to me in 24 hours. It had been a week, during that week I went into the Staples and told asked about my Tablet and how I haven't heard from anyone. The man behind the counter gave me a number, and it wasn't until I was home that I realize it was the same number that tried calling me. So again I called, no answer, and I left a voice mail. Until a few days later, I heard from them, all to tell me that they had tried to call me, I had not called them back, and that my Tablet is back at the store and ready to be picked up. But not fixed. Not mentioning what was wrong with it at all, leaves me to suspect that I was right about what was wrong with it. Then they go to tell me "You might as well buy a new one. It's cheaper than fixing it." So I either pay 450$ to fix it or 500$ for a new one.

I've seen "how-to" videos of people replacing those types of screen. "Then why don't you fix it yourself" you may be asking. Well for starters, I'm not THAT kind of tech smart, nor do I know where to buy the parts. But if someone on Youtube who makes a video like that can fix it that easily, then why can't actual professionals fix it? I get it, stuff like that may not come cheap, but 450$ for a screen replacement?! Really? I find that slightly ridiculous.

Frankly, Staples "Tech Easy" is a joke. I do not recommend ANYONE to go there. Unless you have better...

Tried to get in touch with the store for two hours by phone. They do not have anyone answering the phone ever. When I called I was put through to an automated service that asked me to identify my reason for calling. It didn’t matter how I responded at no point would they put me through to a human being. Eventually I drove two hours to get to the store because I live out of town and I wanted to send a package but I needed to know if they could do the packaging for me because it was an odd shape or if I needed to get it packaged myself before coming to the store. When I got to the store and went to the shipping department I was greeted by a very dismissive young man who clearly had no interest in my packaging or my business. He told me they do not do packaging and then he sent me to a different department to buy a large box that was at least five times the size of what I was trying to ship. They did not have a smaller size that the box would fit into. I walked over to the other side of the store picked up the box came back over at which time this young man had left and a young lady came to help me. She had more customer service experience and told me that I didn’t need to use that big box because they would just wrap it and package it and send it for me. The previous Man had also told another woman standing at the counter that they could not give out printed receipts. They had to either send it to you by email or text message. I asked him “Are you telling me you don’t print copies or give us a receipt on paper?”and he said no. However the young lady said that was ridiculous and she provided me with a paper print out with my tracking number and a receipt to show that I had paid. I have no idea who the young man was but between having to spend two hours on the phone trying to get in touch with you to avoid all of this issue and the bad service that the young man gave me I can guarantee you I will never go to your store ever again nor will I ever Recommend anybody to go to it. Next time I’ll drive the other two hours in a different direction and go to Ottawa where they have multiple stores and I can guarantee...
