I went in for breakfast with my Dad, first impressions were great place looks clean and modern with a awesome noticeable sign.
Well, it's to be expected to be busy being a new restaurant. So I can understand trying to be as fast as possible.
We had to wait 20 minutes for our seat. Which I had no problem with they hook up with a spot in the line and send you a text when their ready for ya. Pretty cool.
But there are some things that shouldn't be rushed or prepared.
I got the classic Eggs Benny, and my dad got the Hamburger Hash. 2 coffees and 1 orange juice.
It took the waiter some time to bring our drinks, but I understand it's busy. Our drinks come out, generic gas station/diner coffee. And minutes later our food. I was a little surprised to see the food so quickly considering the restaurant was completely packed and we had been seated for maybe 20 minutes.
But it all becomes a realization. The hash browns are all prepped ahead of time. You get stale, semi warm under seasoned potatoes that have been sitting under a hot lamp.
The eggs small proportion hollandaise bland generic. But they were able to get them medium so I'll give credit to that.
At which point my dad gets a refill of coffee (refills better free) and explains how his hamburger tasted like the hamburger from last night. Same comparison of the hash.
As we were finishing our meals, my dad decided to take the rest home for the dog, so the waiter comes over with a bin and the debit machine, then clears my plate before I had even finished. So I guess I was done eating.
So with all that said and done 56$ for not really a great experience or breakfast.
I'll give you guys another...
Read moreBest breakfast/brunch option in the Valley offering a huge variety of menu items. Over the handful of times I have been there so far the food has been consistently great. The burgers are some of my favourite in town. It is obvious that they have a high demand and while their waitresses are trying so hard to keep up, it does become difficult sometimes and it can take a very long time or some prompting before getting your drinks, coffee top ups, anything needed at the table. However, when something does occur such as exceptionally long wait for service, the manager who is very involved on what is happening on the floor has proactively made the situation right without even having to be told/or asked by us. Very good customer service on management's part. Be prepared to sign on to the wait list so you are not standing around the mall waiting, but the system they use to register your wait is very efficient and updates you in real-time. Definitely worth visiting!
Only 2 suggestions I would make would be: to include a pitcher of water for tables to be able to refill their own waters, as the glasses are quite small and I went through 5 glasses throughout my meal each time requiring the waitresses time and attention to refill. And to put the hot drinks like mochas in a mug with a handle instead of a clear glass drinking cup as it was too hot to handle, so they give you a plastic straw, which I don't think is great to be steeping in that temperature of...
Read moreThe portion sizes can be a bit big, so make sure you come with a hearty appetite and try not to bite off more than you can chew. The pancakes are easily 6 inches around, and they're very thick and cakey, but simultaneously really absorbent for the syrup. The whipped cream they put on top melts nicely into the pancakes, but it does have a tendency to fall off, so a little butter would be very welcome.
I ordered the pancake stack and the monte cristo (first picture), with home fries topped with hollandaise and cheddar. The home fries were definitely one of the best parts of the meal, mostly thanks to that sauce. It was perfectly salty and creamy, and the cheese melted nicely over the fries. My parents both ordered the stack n' eggs, one over easy with bacon and no fries, and the other scrambled with bacon and sausage. The food was all delicious, but none of us were able to fully finish what we ordered.
The main detriment to this experience was how long it took to be served. Getting in was easy, only about a 5 minute wait, while getting our food took around half an hour (30 minutes). The staff were very attentive during this time, offering refills on coffee.
The real sleeper hit of this whole thing was the french vanilla iced latte. It was perfectly sweet, while not completely overbearing the coffee flavour. I ended up having two, it was so good. Highly recommend that if you ever go here. Probably just order one thing off the menu per...
