Asian Wok — Restaurant in Ontario

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My partner and I ordered a fruit tea & it looked very attractive, however after tasting it, it tasted like someone had dumped half a bottle of syrup in it.

We asked for another drink or a refund, and the employees said they had to ask their manager.

This asian man comes out and asks us what the issue was. I re-explained to him that the drink tasted like pure syrup, its all you can taste. He was immediately defensive with me. He told me that this was the way they were supposed to taste, and do not come back and order this drink again

He offered only half of a refund. I have had many bubble teas/fruit teas in my day (which he failed to realize because he never asked), and never have they tasted horrible like that. The fact that he was immediately defensive and offered no solution to the issue concerns me. If ever a new customer has an issue with something they purchased, I believe they'll be treated the exact same way. I told him if he doesn't believe me, taste it himself. He shouldn't be serving that to anyone at all as far as I'm concerned.

I would not recommend this...

Waited for a few minutes, no lineup, just another gentleman and myself. Nobody at the counter. Employee came back from break after a couple of minutes. Gentleman in front of me already griping about customer service and having to wait. Eventually, person comes out, and NOT the person on break. Which means there was an employee there the entire time. Customer makes a comment about how it's good to have somebody at the counter instead of making customers wait, if another employee goes on break. Employee said " I'm ok with you waiting". Taken slightly aback, the customer asked to repeat what he said. "I'm ok with you waiting" repeated the employee. Both myself and the customer in front of me left without ordering, both iterated they will never be back. NEVER. Customer...

Make sure you call before going there to verify hours. Drove 45min to come there and they apparently closed early before 7pm with no sign or anything even knowing they're hours are till 9pm.

Pretty disappointed.

Finally got to eat here and i wasnt very satisfied. The sesame/pineapple chicken im pretty sure is frozen after it's breaded then dumped in the deep fryer for a minute then sauced. The breading was very moist and squishy, not how deep fried chicken should be.. also there was very little chicken even in the larger pieces.. it seems they just bread it multiple times or something.
