I require a hormone injection every two weeks. The regular clinic I attend was unavailable this day, and I called ahead to this clinic asking if they would be able to administer this injection. The receptionist placed me on hold to ask the doctor, who confirmed it was okay. I then arrive at the clinic, and again the receptionist took my medication to the doctor to confirm that it would be okay. The doctor confirmed once more that they would be able to administer the injection. I waited two hours to be seen. One doctor came in, barely said hello, and left. Another doctor then came in to explain that they were unable to administer this injection, and they cited fears of liability to be the root issue. Again. I called ahead of time. I double checked at the receptionist's desk, who double checked again with the general practitioner. All confirmed this would be acceptable. I am a trans-woman, and this has not been the first time something like this has happened to me. I have been receiving this injection since 2021, and my hormone levels have been consistent, confirmed through many rounds of bloodwork, referred by my endocrinologist, and my own GP. This clinic wasted my time, the doctor patronized me, and I can only see it as a complete sign of disrespect as to who I am. I would not mind the disrespect and perhaps prejudice so much if they were just upfront about not feeling comfortable administering the injection. I told them on the phone that I was a trans-woman, I told the receptionist when I arrived that I am a trans-woman needing a medical staff member to administer an injection for hormone replacement therapy. I was not coy, I did not hide the nature of my visit. This entire experience has left me feeling bitter, hurt, and frustrated that I will have to endure more moments like these time and time again. A complete incompetence and incuriousness over my needs as a patient, and a disrespectful regard for my time. Oh, and the doctor blamed the receptionist for the confusion, showing that he was unable to even take responsibility for the frustration done. If you are a receptionist who works here & are reading this, know that this doctor does not respect you and is willing to throw you under the bus at a...

Read moreI had a fantastic experience at Trillium Medical Centre and Pharmacy. The entire team—from the front desk to the medical staff—is friendly, professional, and efficient. The doctors and nurse practitioner are incredibly thorough and truly listen to your concerns, ensuring you get the care you need without unnecessary delays. I especially appreciate how timely and organized the clinic is—it’s clear they respect your time.
The pharmacy staff is equally outstanding. The pharmacist was knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly. It’s a huge bonus having the pharmacy right next door—it makes filling prescriptions quick and convenient.
