As a long time Carvery lover, I need to express my frustration. We ordered Skip the Dishes for a work lunch. First time ever using Skip. We had a decent sized order and had selected the 3 of your ½ sandwich with 2 sides options, put in the comments what the sides would be. Placed order and waited. I received an email from a Mary at Skip advising that it would be an additional $32.00 to accommodate the sides, we requested that the sides be 2 fries with tomato soups, and then a side salad with a fry to go along with our ½ sandwiches. HOW could the sides be an additional $32? I understand there’s an upcharge for the salad, but we’ve ordered this combo option before and never paid this much. I got onto the Skip chat and spoke with someone who didn’t help, they just said they couldn’t accommodate and aren’t authorized to charge for the additional costs. I asked if would be refunded as we weren’t getting some of our sides, he said no and just kept asking “is there anything else I can assist you with today?”. At this point we were under the impression that we would be getting some sides, but not all for the combos. When our food arrived, it had no sides, I called and spoke with a younger gentleman, who advised that Skip the dishes told them I authorized no sides. I tried explaining that we chose the ½ sandwich and 2 sides option, the Carvery worker said it’s not an option on the Skip website and I should have just called. Frustrated, I replied, “How am I supposed to know that Skip won’t accommodate what’s on the website, I’m not a mind reader?”. The worker replied “that’s what Skip told us to do” I explained that NO one called me, and I was stuck on a pointless chat until our order showed up. Paid for the ½ sandwiches and 2 sides- didn’t receive any sides, no one would even try to rectify the error (skip’s fault or not for not accommodating the combo options on your site) and the worker was super unapologetic. Sadly, when I finally got there on December 28, 2023 I was Very, Very DISAPPOINTED. Not at all what I expected. I dined over Lunch with a coworker who absolutely felt the same way. Needless to say either one of us were impressed. Prices were High even for half sandwiches & the soup was cold. Did this business recently change hands⁉️ This is the Lowest Google Review I have ever submitted. We will NOT be back & I told them that too on the way out the door. $5.19 for a half Grilled Cheese + an EXTRA $6.00 to make it into a Soup Combo? FML... The Only Good thing about it was the Eska Bottled Water and you can get that anywhere for much cheaper. Should have cost way less than the $12.64 I spent that day - Tax Included. Sorry, NOT...

I ordered a full porchetta for my boyfriend to go a few days ago, got it home and he took three bites and the rest was grist, and burned. A bad cut. The rest of the sandwich had to go into the garbage. I went into the shop to get a gift card today, and thought I better mention it to see if they could correct the issue (probably should have just called, but oh well). Not sure if there was a misunderstanding, but it didn't seam like they were willing to do anything besides say sorry. I politely declined the gift card thinking, maybe I better not.
