Indigo.
A sacred haven of knowledge from immemorial times.
The lost texts state that it was built approximately 2,500 years ago on the location where Merlin, the famous enchanter, or wizard, or magician (they are all synonyms, really), led Sir Arthur to Excalibur. Fraudulent works of fiction would like you to believe that this all took place in Britain, but as stated eloquently 20 words ago, they are fraudulent.
Sir Arthur then went down in history to get his new Canadian Kingdom (it came with Excalibur, which was honestly more of a pocket knife than an actual “sword”), from the dragons still plaguing the realm, namely Smaug, Drogon and “Maleficent” (it still counts, even though “technically” didn’t exactly start as a dragon). It is then, that the mighty Sir Arthur came back to the original location of his pocket knife to order the construction of a temple of knowledge. His only personal request was the construction of a round table, where he would spend all his nights. It still stands there to this day, but sadly, centuries of outrageous fraudulent stories had twisted the expression “nights of the round table” in something far more glorious than a Canadian king who just liked to sleep on his table.
Sir Arthur went down in history for his kingdom, dragons, his Indigo temple of knowledge (with the round table), and writing Sherlock Holmes....

The wind chill was so bad outside. Your employee said, so sorry about that and asked me to go. I am quite strong and I was okay. What about someone older in my place ? Teach them basic manners and empathy. After giving you business for several hundred dollars every time I visit, that's the least you can do in return.
Chapters is my Tiffany's. Nothing wrong can happen when you are at Tiffany's. This is obviously a biased review from a book lover.
However, distancing myself from the emotional standpoint, the Pinecrest location is one of the better Indigo/Chapters facilities in Ottawa because of a large free parking lot, a nice separate walkway to Starbucks inside, large footspace, good reading area and a large selection of books. Bonus: It is close to Ikea, Michael's, Linen Chest and the highway - for shopping or taking the...
Read moreI created a baby registry on Indigo’s website, and it was a disaster! The site does not automatically remove purchased items from the list, which is supposed to be the core functionality of a registry. As a result, several books were bought twice, three times, or even four times... But that’s not even the worst part. Today, I went to the store to return the duplicate items, and they refused to give me a refund! They asked me to contact each guest individually to get their receipt, even though they all placed their orders through the registry. The store manager refused to acknowledge that their website has an issue and told me that I should have removed the items myself after they were purchased—without realizing that, since these are gifts, I have no way of knowing who buys what and when. In short, the registry feature does not work as it should, and the customer service is terrible. They are not even professional enough to recognize the...
