Having visited nearly every indoor playground in the York and Durham regions, I was excited to check out this new spot. As the newest location in Durham, everything was clean and well-kept thanks to its recent opening.
The interior layout is similar to the Thornhill location — no ball pit, a smaller play structure, but a large trampoline area and a gaming zone. This playground seems better suited for kids aged 6 and up, though there is a toddler area available.
With my boys (ages 2 and 4), we paid $30 for 2.5 hours of play. This was with a 30% opening discount — regular admission is around $40. Please note that due to the game section, you’ll likely end up spending more at this location, as the games are not included in the entrance fee.
The game machines were new, working well, and had a nice difficulty level. However, since the machines are maintained by third-party companies, the staff may not be able to help with repositioning or fixing errors.
The workers were very friendly and welcoming. One downside was the washroom setup — the toilet bowls were quite large and the sinks were sensor-activated, which confused my kids. Helping them wash their hands turned into a bit of a struggle.
Here’s how it compares to other nearby indoor playgrounds:
Endless Fun – $25 for unlimited play. Older facility with newly added trampolines and dated game machines.
Treehouse Clubhouse – $28 for 1 hour and 45 minutes. No game machines or screens, but has a large structure and tube slide.
Fun Factory – $25 for unlimited play, with discounted Tuesdays. Fair structure, older site, and no screens or gaming features.
Overall, a nice clean facility with great potential — especially if your kids are into trampoline and arcade-style games. (8...
Read moreWe recently visited Playtopia Pickering and had such a great experience! The first thing that stood out was how clean and well-maintained everything was — it’s clear the owners really care about the space and the families who visit.
It’s a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for kids to burn off energy, and there's plenty for different age groups to enjoy. From the play structures to the toddler-friendly areas, everything is thoughtfully designed.
It’s also nice to know that Playtopia is family-owned — you can feel the difference in how respectful, friendly, and hands-on the staff are. They go out of their way to make sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable.
Highly recommend it if you're looking for a reliable, fun indoor play place in the Pickering area. We’ll...
Read moreI've been to Playtopia three times already since they opened this week! The grand opening promotion is hard to resist, especially with my kid on summer break. The staff here are amazing (so much friendlier and more welcoming than the staff at Treehouse). I can already tell they will treat us well when we rent one of their party rooms, so I will definitely book my kid's next birthday party here! Customer service is very important to me.
I'm so grateful we finally have a place like this in Durham. Now I don't have to drive all the way to Markham for a clean, fun, well-run play center. While you can't bring outside food, the staff helped me order two large pizzas for my group, and they arrived fresh within 30 minutes. Thank you!
I can only speak highly of this place. It's...
