Southside Market — Local services in Revelstoke

Southside is the smaller of the 2 grocery stores in town and is about the same pricing on foods as Save on foods, however they sometimes have better deals on certain items. The staff are friendly and there seems to be the perfect amount of staff at all times. Good variety, however there freezer section sometimes goes haywire for a few hours at a time and some stuff unthaws till is repaired and refrozen. This doesn't happen near as much as it used to a few years ago. I give 3 stars for a positive atmosphere filled with friendly staff, but there cleanliness can be a little off sometimes. All things considered great little grocery store. Just as an update to the question from management, the cleanliness part i have an issue with is that when I was walking through the aisles numerous shelves were either dusty or sticky. As well as the doors before the meat department where the sink was had been filled with clutter. Maybe just close the doors people dont need to see that. And they aren't huge issues...

I do enjoy shopping here. The staff are always knowledgeable and friendly. As soon as a line forms, more cashier's appear.

I did start comparing pricing with save-on and stuff is relatively the same so...expensive. However the meat is usually cheaper and higher quality than Save on and if the butcher sees you browsing or searching a little too long, he comes out and asks if you need assistance.

Also...the make some kickass sandwiches for $7.99 loaded with meat, lettuce, red onions, peppers and I think provolone cheese on a fresh bun. You can't make a sandwich like that at home for that price.

It’s refreshing to travel to smaller towns and still see small town like service in a local super market, staff is friendly and helpful, the store is clean and well kept with adequate levels of stock and moderate pricing it not uncommon for supermarkets in in smaller centres to have substantially higher prices than in larger centres, fortunately the prices here are high but not the wholesale gouging from the large chain supermarket down the road, shopping carefully I found some good deals and quality fresh foods.
