We recently visited this restaurant/bowling venue as a group of six, excited to enjoy both activities. We reserved a bowling alley for two hours, then went to order drinks and food, only to be informed that the bowling menu was now limited compared to the full menu in the restaurant—something that wasn’t the case when they first opened. When we asked if there was any flexibility since we’d be there a while, the waitress said no and seemed quite grumpy about it.
Seating was another issue. We had to share a booth with another group, making it cramped, with not enough space for everyone to eat and drink comfortably. This led to a lot of confusion for the staff, resulting in long wait times, mix-ups, and repeated issues with our orders.
We waited nearly an hour for our food, only to find hair in one of the tacos, which were so small they could be eaten in a few bites. We sent that taco back, but it was returned so quickly that it seemed like the exact same one. Additionally, one friend had ordered tacos after being told they were on the bowling menu, only for a different server to bring them out and give them to the other group sharing our booth. The other customer mentioned he wasn’t sure they were his, but the waitress gave him the tacos without confirming who actually ordered them. This left our friend waiting even longer and added to the confusion.
Adding to the frustration, our second round of drinks took over 20 minutes, and when we asked about them, we received a snarky response. One friend’s food was delayed by 30 minutes after the rest of us had been served. When we finally asked for it to be removed from the bill, the waitress mentioned it might still be under a warmer but then forgot to check. We also discovered that another friend’s order had been missed entirely, leaving us short a meal.
The setup, with two groups sharing a single table, caused constant confusion for the staff, who repeatedly brought out items without knowing who ordered what. Overall, it felt chaotic and disappointing. Improvements like assigning each group their own booth, better communication among staff, and friendlier service would make a big difference. Until they address these issues, I would hesitate to recommend this...
Read moreWords genuinely can’t describe how grateful I am for this place but I’m gonna try nonetheless. Had myself a beer thinking I’m gonna lull myself into a nice sleep on a Saturday night after a long day of driving. Boy was I wrong. That beer awoken a deep craving (as if 6 months pregnant and this was my only safe food) in me for beans and rice. It’s 925pm at this point so I’m thinking I’m hooped (small town everything closes early) but I hop on google to see if I can make this dream come true. Behold Cantina del Centro. They close at 10, I’m thinking “surely it’s too late and inconvenient to place an order but let me try since I’m DESPERATE”. I give them a ring… the suspense builds as I get through their menu call forwarding options. I connect with someone at the front desk… I make my request… BOOM. All of a sudden beans and rice is not only a possibility but a definite YES. The staff were so kind and accommodating on the phone.
I speed in, deal with the loveliest staff on the planet, and get my beans and rice. And for CHEAP too. Front desk staff was so kind and funny, and the waitress cleaning up the patio was absolutely beautiful (and very kind as well).
All around a fantastic experience. I would recommend this place to people in all corners of the world.

Read moreI’m a big Cantina Nelson fan so was very excited to visit the Revelstoke location. Firstly, the whole decor is immaculate, they did such a good job with making the place look beautiful. We started with one hour of bowling and 15 minutes was spent with the staff trying to get the screen up and running. The futon seats were extremely uncomfortable to sit on, they seemed to have caved in in the middle and they tried to prop milk crates to keep it a bit supported. The three of us had to take turns perching on the edge in order to not get poked and almost fall through the bottom. About 45 minutes into our bowling a server finally came over and asked if we wanted to order anything (only 15 minutes left in our bowling reservation). I’m hoping they are just working out the kinks with the bowling service.
We moved over to the dining room to grab some more food, it was the same great margaritas and food that I’m used to at the Nelson location so that was great! Although the restaurant is beautiful, it got very loud in there and I found myself having to yell over the table to be heard.
Overall, it wasn’t an awful experience but I’m not sure it was worth the $200+ we...
