Friend recommended this place to me and it really disappointed me. When I called in and asked if there’s an instant spot for doing nails, they said they do so I went. No one has asked me what type of gel I wanna use, didn’t give me option at all. I usually use hard gel because I have long nails and want them to last longer. so I asked what type of gel they used on my nails, they said they use soft gel with some hard gel ingredient on it and can last at least 2 weeks and they guaranteed it. After they finished I notice there’s a big white spot on one of my fingers, I asked what it is they said it’s my original nail. But other fingers don’t have the spot and I know it probably is because they didn’t remove the previous nail completely. I didn’t say anything and left. But unfortunately the nails didn’t stay for even a week. 3 of them cracked So I called back and book an appointment to fix. When I mentioned I wanna use hard gel the lady who helped me said that will cause extra money, and I said but it’s your problem that it didn’t last for only 1 week, and you told me it will for sure last 2 weeks. Then she shouted out to her stuff very loud and said this customer saying it’s our problem that her nail doesn’t last long and I already am fixing the nails for her for free and even free extension for one of them. She keeps saying that she already fixing the nails for me for free and the 2 weeks guarantee is supposed to only for color not for nail. Then I mentioned there’s no one asked me what gel I wanna use when I came to do the nails. She’s like we have all options on our menu and sometimes when it’s busy in the store you have no choice. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ she’s so loud and rude and not care about the customers experience at all. I ended up just ask her to do whatever she can do to fix the nail. And I asked for same nail color, I don’t think she did the same. So In Conclusion, don’t expect to get any service from this place unless you are their VIP. And don’t expect they will give you professional nail service advise either. Only go if you need a nail done instantly and cheap. I don’t see a button for replying the owners reply, so I edit again this comment to reply you. First of all, you need to ask your client the first time she in store whether she wants to use hard gel or soft gel or whatever fancy gel you bought from Korea, or make professional advise of what gel is suitable for their nature nails instead of making decision for your client because you are ā€œbusy in the storeā€. Secondly, I came in exactly two weeks ago from today to do my nails, but the two nails were already broke within the first week. My friends all see it and the photos were taken few days ago. Instead of caring your clients nails, you only care about the ā€œhalf hourā€ to fix the clients nail which is your job to do it. My appointment is 11:30, I waited 10 mins, and you finished in 15 mins to fix it. And then, through the whole process, I have said ā€œthank youā€ many times, you couldn’t even hear once. And I told you I want the SAME color as the rest of the nail. It turns out it’s not the same color and I’m pretty sure I picked the same one last time. If you want I can post both previous and before do you can compare. You keep emphasizing that fixing the nail is free, to be honest, I really should have just ask you to remove the whole thing cause what you did was not what I original expected. I have been to different nail places, and it’s the first time this happened to me. Anywhere else, if the nails cracked or broken, they will fix it without saying a word. I’m mad not because of my nature nail broken, but the service I received and the attitude the stuff threw on me. If you could explain everything gently and clearly, I wouldn’t want to spend my day off typing this review. You are blaming on your customer for their bad experience, instead of thinking about what you need to improve. That’s a great attitude please keep doing it. And, If I think back one day there’s only one thing I would do differently many years later, it’s to not walk in to your store.

Don’t be a difficult customer by saying you’re not satisfied with their service via email, or hint for an apology for off-handed comments. Expect to be thanked for your feedback and told to find somewhere that can satisfy you because you are being a difficult customer and proving it via this review. Hi, I’m that 4 time customer, now maybe a potential Karen in your eyes, and here’s my tea: Anyone else feel self conscious about speaking up for yourself when things go wrong? Ever feel that you’re being a burden to a service worker because you respect them as a person? Ever eat the wrong things because you don’t want to trouble the busy waiter? Ever just ignore your discomfort to keep the peace? If you do, know that they will take in your private feedback, an email you mulled over for a few months ever since the first unsatisfactory visit, and shit you some defensive reasons without any accountability. First they explained away their technicians feelings and health. Nail techs are people too. I understand. Then they address my two questions, one about the specks in my nail polish and another about the UNEVEN gaps between my nails. - they explain it’s normal and that since I don’t like my cuticles touched there will be a gap. I know that. The gap is uneven though!!! And my cuticles are uniform enough that the gaps with a careful nail tech results in uniformity- results I get from other nail techs in this salon. They did not address my comment about their nail tech commenting on my nail beds being too small and difficult to work with to my face. In my email I quoted their website ā€œsatisfaction guaranteedā€ and said I was not satisfied. Can this be bitchy without tone of voice. Sure lost in translation. I can understand maybe that’s bitchy and I’ll take accountability and apologize for the tone. So that justifies Wondernail writing to me that your two technicians combined have a ā€œtotal of 40 years experienceā€and that if ā€œthey can’t satisfy you, then we don’t think our salon has the capacity to do soā€- did I write about TWO technicians? I wrote about ONE. That’s 20 years of experience which, out of respect, I tipped her for. I gave her flowers and then I told you what she said and did that made me uncomfortable during my previous experiences with her PRIVATELY- you gave me excuses and no apologies. I also blocked her name because I’m not trying to drag her through the mud or get her ā€œjob in troubleā€. I just wanted some assurance and comfort from a service based self-care industry that my experiences won’t happen again and these are the next steps you will take so it won’t happen again. That’s the tea. Is standing up for yourself difficult? Yes, because you never know when you’re being an unreasonably entitled customer, or just trying to explain ā€œhey, I have some concerns-can you address this with an apology, acknowledgementā€, and maybe like some next steps like ā€œoh, we will let her know don’t say that next timeā€ something like that. So thank you Wondernails management for telling me that ā€œif they can’t satisfy you, then we don’t think our salon had the capacity to do soā€- that just gave me the courage I needed to write this review. ā€

Before you read this review, you should know I'm a nail salon newbie. You can essentially say I don't know much about nail salons. The first feeling upon entering the place was the nice ambience. On the left side, they had a row of massage chairs, and on the left a row of nail stations. The place overall had a nice, comfy ambience. Once I let them know I was there for my appointment, they led me to my nail station and gave me a selection of teas to choose from. The nail station was very sanitary. On the table was a laid-out towel to put my hands on and a new set of nail tools. At this point of the appointment, it felt nice, however, once I started communicating with them afterward, I realized they don't know much English at all. I wished they had had some sort of regularly asked cue cards or something to make communication easier. Now my experience, throughout the deluxe manicure service, was mixed. The deluxe manicure consists of nail shaping, cuticle removal, buffing, paraffin treatment, and a nail polish application. The nail shaping, cuticle removal, and buffing were professionally done, but once it got to the paraffin treatment and nail polish application I was conflicted. The paraffin treatment consists of having to put your hands into paraffin-filled gloves and inside some sort of heating pad. The moment my gloved hands were placed into the heaters, my salon worker essentially ditched me, with no explanation, for another client who came an hour early before their appointment. I know this because the client said she arrived here early because she was traveling and just wanted a place to wait before her appointment. Although I had an idea of why they left me to help the other client, I felt somewhat neglected. The worst thing was that the heating pad did not get warmer until the last minute of the treatment. My introverted self didn't say anything because all the workers were busy dealing with another client. (The salon worker beside me was concentrating on her client's nail art, while my salon worker was helping the client who came one hour early.) Hence, my hands were essentially extremely freezing for like 10 minutes. By the time the salon worker came back, I just wanted to get the hell out of the place. They asked me what colour I wanted, I requested purple. I wanted a light purple, however, they brought back a range of dark purple colours. Maybe, I should have described the type of colour better, but I already felt neglected and my hands were cold. I selected the brightest purple from the selection of nail polishes even though I knew it was going to look not so great. She applied them and then brought a nail dryer with cold and hot settings. According to her if I wanted a shorter drying time, I should use the cold setting. Me wanting to just leave as fast as I could, I just selected a cold setting. By the end of my experience, my hands were freezing cold. Hence here are my final thoughts: Pros: Cuticle removal, Sanitary environment Cons: Communication, Paraffin treatment

And, If I think back one day there’s only one thing I would do differently many years later, it’s to not walk in...

Don’t be a difficult customer by saying you’re not satisfied with their service via email, or hint for an apology for off-handed comments. Expect to be thanked for your feedback and told to find somewhere that can satisfy you because you are being a difficult customer and proving it via this review.

Hi, I’m that 4 time customer, now maybe a potential Karen in your eyes, and here’s my tea:

Anyone else feel self conscious about speaking up for yourself when things go wrong?

So thank you Wondernails management for telling me that ā€œif they can’t satisfy you, then we don’t think our salon had the capacity to do soā€- that just gave me the courage I needed to write...

Hence here are my final thoughts: Pros: Cuticle removal, Sanitary environment Cons: Communication,...
