Marble Slab Creamery — Local services in Saskatoon

The marble slab creamery was easy to find with lots of available parking out front for a Sunday afternoon. The shop was very neat and clean and the ice cream server was very prompt to serve us. And I am not sure how knowledgable he was because I asked for a pineapple flavour treat, and he pointed me to Keylime? So I decided to settle on cheesecake and much to my surprise, there were no cherries. I asked for whipped cream and the server told me that there were none in the shop or available. The two very small ice cream that my friend and I got came to a total of $16. We opted for the smaller size and in a cup. The pink chairs were a nice added touch to the ice cream parlor. There was a poster up saying "be the perfect guest, choose from our cooler" that made me think "I guess they prefer not actually serving me, if the perfect guest takes from the cooler". Another poster was up beside this that advertised egg nog ice cream. When I asked about the eggnog flavour, they said they were sorry but no eggnog ice cream. I recommended they take down the poster, and the staff member was noncommittal - giving me the impression that the poster would stay up. How disappointing. The eggnog is my favorite flavour. This was a sad visit.

Edit: the owner responded saying that they would take the eggnog poster down when it was out of stock. I hope they do. With the thoughtful response, I am willing to try this...

I’ve always been a fan or Marble Slab and always recommended this to everyone I know but after today, I’m not sure if I’ll be returning to this location. I ordered my usual, cookie dough drizzle but it was just vanilla ice cream mixed with a bit of oreo. I had asked the lady to remake my order but she refused. She argued that she mixed all the ingredients but didn’t. She kept arguing and didn’t apologize. So I told her to make another order and pay for it. Sure enough, she charged me for another ice cream! There was a big difference with the 1st ice cream that was made compared to the 2nd one. I asked for her name but she refused to give this to me.
