Avondale Food Stores — Local services in St. Catharines

I do not recommend buying any perishables from this store, bought a loaf of bread from their store today and when I decided to eat it I found out it had some mold growing on it, when I went back hoping to switch it with fresh bread the the person at the register accused me of stealing saying that I wanted to exchange expired bread with good one when it was literally the bread I bought that same day 🙄. The person at the register was convinced I was trying to steal because the bread man already taken the week old bread and apparently could not fanthom the idea that they missed a bread and embarrassed me infront of all the other customers

If they can't guarantee all the perishables they have isn't expired who knows what else is in there that people have bought and eaten Now I have to find a creative way to use moldy...

The older guy at this store, who dresses like a 90s emo teen despite being around 50 seriously needs an attitude check. When I walked in, he was standing by the door, apparently trying to go out for a smoke. As I entered, he rolled his eyes, started huffing, and muttered under his breath like I was somehow inconveniencing him. His girlfriend is constantly behind the counter even though she clearly doesn’t work there. If he hates the job this much, why is he even there? He acts like a bitter man-child and seems more focused on brooding than doing his job.

He’s the only person I’ve ever had an issue with at this place, I actually love the rest of the staff. But this guy seriously needs to get the help he...

Went to an avondale in st cathrines bought a bag full of stuff my straw broke so i came to this avondale cause it was on the way to my friends to grab another straw and i asked the cashier if i could grab a straw and explained how the one i got from the last avondale broke and she was kinda rude about it and was like i guess but i wouldnt do that like lady its a 10 cent straw for christ sake and i just spend 45 bucks at the last avondale and ladys telling me that i basically cant take a straw for my milkshake i just got from another avondale...
