Avondale Food Stores — Local services in St. Catharines

Sad to say that my daughter and I had our first racist experience in that store in St Catharines. My daughter and I walked in to the store, got a tub of ice cream and proceeded to wait our turn at the counter. There was only one customer chatting to the seller and buying lottery tickets. The seller was looking at us funny so I told her we are buying the ice cream. She very rudely replied “well you have to wait until I finish with this customer” Then she pointed to my daughter and told her to stand on the other side or something, which I thought was unnecessary so I told my daughter to stay where she is. We really felt she just wanted to be mean to us and I wasn’t taking that treatment from anyone. At the end she refused to serve us and we walked out.
