I've been buying outdoor goods from these awesome people for decades. Their customer service and product knowedge here is off-the-hook. Their carefully-selected specialty items such as equestrian and motorcycle gear are absolutely always outstanding, but every person who lives in the Lower Mainland should own a waterproof oilskin duster.
Mine is 30 years old, and is probably better than the day that it was brand new, as it's waxed canvas has conformed to my shape over the decades. Similar to my Brooks leather saddles on my pedal bikes. I'd say that my duster is perhaps the most usefull and worthwhile daily-use item I've ever purchased.
The leather vest, riding jacket, and motorcycle boots I bought there when I took up motorcycling the year before I bought the duster, (it's how I found out about waxed canvas used in garment-making) were all excellent value and extremely well made, and i still use and own them.
I just bought an oilskin baseball cap to accompany it on my urban expeditions, and Kevin was top-notch is spotting and resolving some glitches to ensure that my order was expedited...
Read moreIâm really not one to leave reviews, but I feel this needs to be addressed. Iâve been shopping here for many years, bought plenty of boots and gear, and even recommended the store to friends and family. Sadly, I donât think Iâll be coming back.
Thereâs one staff memberâan older lady, usually with a ponytailâwho is consistently rude and condescending to both myself and anyone I bring in. Sheâs unwelcoming, watches customers like a hawk, and seems more interested in making people feel small than in helping them. Because of this, we cut our visit short and only bought what we absolutely needed.
The rest of the staff are friendly and helpful, but this one person ruins the experience. Iâve noticed other reviews mention the same issue, so I know Iâm not alone. Whether sheâs part of management or not, I truly hope the store addresses this before more loyal customers are lost. For now, Iâll be taking my business elsewhereâsomewhere both I and my money...
Read moreI went there today to browse and was going to bring back my husband to try on some shirts but when I went to buy a child's belt for my Grandson marked $15.00 it came up at $27.95. Sales person continued on with the sale even though I objected about the price. When I asked for the manager he came out and was utterly RUDE! He said that's the price take it or leave it! When i said the belt was priced at $15. he told me that was the USA price they mark them up from that. I argued with him that even with the US exchange it didn't come to $27.95. He didn't care one iota even after I said I was going to give him a bad review - he said go ahead and i'll just answer you right back. They lost a sale from me and all possible future sales - I'll never return because after they refunded my card the sales people - 2 or 3 of them smugly wished me a Merry Christmas. Utterly non-...
