Update: I did speak with Sandy who came out to view the chair. He contacted the maker (BenchCraft) who refused to replace or return my money. Sandy di end up replacing my chair with the same chair but it will not have a warrantee. Not my idea of a good result but i will take it as the last chair was causing me a great deal of discomfort and pain and I believe Sandy tried. My advise is to not allow their technician to ever touch your furniture. He is a hack and not very truthful as he apparently told them I asked for what he did to my chair. Because Sandy tried to fix the issue I will adjust my review but I will never buy BenchCraft Furniture again. I bought a sofa and recliner 1 year ago. They were on sale but still cost a couple grand. Within 6 months the cushions on the recliner had lost shape. The chair is tilted to one side and foam on foot rest was no longer in foot rest. (Touching wood) I am a single older woman I am not tiny but I am not huge. I am the only one who uses the chair So this is an issue. I call and they have me send pictures. they sent a “technician” to look. He tried to tell me that there was nothing wrong with it and that it was not tilted. He did not concede until my adult son told him that it was not normal wear and tear. Issues with women? They Took my chair two weeks later to repair it. and told me the chair would be back in a week. Then a week later called to tell me “technician” is on leave so will be three more weeks. More than a month later they deliver chair. However foot rest still no stuffing. Touching wood. Also one cross strap holding seat of chair in place. Point this out and tell them to make sure that gets fixed, delivery take chair back to fix proper. Chair comes back two weeks later. At this point I have now been without my chair for several months. Technician has overstuffed the footrest. Looks fine. I accept delivery. Later that evening sit in my chair and recline. Have huge bump of cushion popping up in middle of the foot rest. Honestly I will just live with it because obviously they are not going to replace the chair and they are not going to fix it. Here we are a few weeks later and chair is tilted still wrecking my back. I will never shop here again. Throwing thousands away is not within my budget. If you are creating a showroom and never going to actually use your furniture by all means shop here. However if you plan to use your furniture go to lazy boy. Even the brick has better quality furniture...
Read moreFurniture barn – cloverdale this has to be the worst place ever, i ordered a table and chairs and paid april 4th and my invoice said delivery 1 to 3 weeks as they did not have the promotion item in stock,, which is a joke in itself who doesnt carry stock of a sale item.. so then i got told will be a week past the weeks, then get told will be may 15th then i get told shipping table via UPS, then i asked the owner uses the name (BOB) for tracking number gives me a fake tracking number, then he upgraded my stools for the inconvenience to find out there not new( as shouldn’t new stools with fake faux leather smell new right !!! then when i got my table as well it was dusty and not the right one i ordered..this place does not return calls or text messages as i had bob cell and he can’t even tell his customers the truth, i will be going to the local paper where the store is located so people BUYER BEWARE!!!!
the funny part to this post is, the owner called the cops on me, yes i received a call from RCMP, i guess owner said i was texting all hours of the night as i had personal number.. how can that be when i go to bed at 7pm as up early in the am,,,,,,,, and well he was upset as i advised him social media is a great thing and is not a crimminal act to write reviews where you want, i read post and see i was not the only one he did this too, he is a real piece of work and a full on liar and cheat anf gets other staff members to call, as he cant deal with all he lies he tells his customers, please people " DO NOT BUY !!!!!!! you will wait along time and u get wrong items and things he upgrades for you is floor models.. dont worry ill keep posting as im allowed too hahahhaha woo hoo............
Read moreI just had to write a review about the incredible experience I had with Miss Corinne at Furniture Barn in Cloverdale. I deal with customer service and the sales industry so often that having such service deserves the credit which is why I am taking the time to write this!!!
First of all Corinne was such a tremendous wealth of information and knowledge that I just enjoyed listening to her so genuinely fill me in on the ins and outs of my potential purchases. Who doesn't love listening to someone passionately describe something;) I was given such undivided attention and was able to make the perfect decision for myself on what has become the most amazing addition to my new condo! My "low profile sectional" does wonders for my small space and the fabric and colour are everything I was told they would be. The quality of my product is obviously another huge bonus to my experience but what stands out for me is customer service. Even though we had to deal with a few bumps in the delivery I was given the attention that still allowed me to have a fantastic experience......The reality is there will usually be "issues" when purchasing furniture. So being able to accommodate the customer and keep the communication lines open while maintaining an overall great customer experience is superstar stuff.
