Horrible experience overall. These people are thieves! I assume due to the lock down closures they are raised prices as the prices they give always vary nor do they match the price list that is in the shop. For starters they charged me $45 for an acrylic fill (which i dont mind paying) but, on their price list it shows that Gel & Bio Gel refills are cheaper than what was quoted for an acrylic fill. Upon discussing the price of my Acrylic fill the nail tech Hailey, advised that my total with a design will be $55 plus tax. I said i'm paying cash and she insisted that the gov't mandated them to charge customers taxes even on cash but she would only charge me 7% tax instead of 13%. But why wasn't i charged taxes on my cash payment 2 weeks before? Why do my friends not pay taxes for their services either? Why all of a sudden am i being charged taxes on cash? ITS NOT MY FIRST TIME COMING TO THIS SALON. Very strange. Has anyone ever paid a nail salon taxes on cash??? I for one have NOT. Make sure to discuss prices before you are done, if they think you are impressionable or have money they will charge you more. Will be filing a consumer complaint.

EDIT: As a tax paying Canadian Citizen I am well aware about our Tax laws in Canada but, thank you. Now, let me educate you since you missed the point: 2 weeks ago the price i paid did not include tax AT ALL. I was charged for my full set, manicure, design and pedicure and there were no applicable taxes included in that price. Also, i did not receive a receipt from those services. I consulted my friends who go to this salon and they were just as confused as i was. Why? Because you do not charge them tax. Why would i complain if i was charged tax before when this is not my first time coming to the salon? I guess you pick and choose when/who you want to over charge...

The salon owner has contacted me to rectify the situation. He has said that they do not operate in such manner and will hold a meeting with the staff to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

AVOID IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SCAMMED.

I went today and the nail tech was really nice. She kept saying she would make my nails look really nice, and before we started I asked the price to which she quoted me $65. To my surprise when it was time to pay, it was $80 for the most short and basic shellac nails?! This is the MOST I have ever paid for this exact service. I was charged for a manicure that she did not share was an add on, and honestly didn’t notice it was a manicure because she barely touched my nails as I had removed cuticles and prepped my nails before my appointment.

I will NOT be returning.

She did not notify me the price for any additional add ons which I would have politely declined. During my appointment I also overheard another client telling the nail tech that she didn’t like her experience. I overheard her saying that she would have appreciated the price being told upfront not after the work was done. Really disappointed of their lack of professionalism and customer service. Have lost 3 customers due to this negative experience. My relatives will also not be returning.
