I wasn't going to write a review however the results of the service just didn't sit right with me. I may have gaslighted myself thinking 'of course, this'll be good these are pros' based on also all the reviews. I had Joy, who was kind.
I genuinely do not believe there were any major improvements on my resume. A lot of my own sentences were the same and any information I gave upon request was just copy pasted without any editing. For instance, if I put in parentheses the manor in which I wanted that info to be communicated both the parentheses and info would be on the resume.
There were grammatical errors, mixed up timeline/experience and classic resume/cover letter Don'ts. For instance, photo, background image marks, incorrect narration, etc.
I consented, going against what I know to be true only because I wanted to put trust into this person as it's a service I'm paying for after all.
I truly feel like I would've had a better chance submitting my original resume.
I also wanted just a classic resume or baseline cover letter that I can utilize in the future for different applications without having to change the entirety of the information. But I kept being told to be specific for one job/avenue, which okay sure, but it did feel like a money thing as I was told that I'd have to pay for another resume/cover letter. In my mind that only made sense for someone with a lot of experience which I don't have so it's not like the experience specifics would change drastically if at all.
My package was also meant to include a LinkedIn profile yet that just never happened.
All in all I don't feel like it was worth the money and actually may have set me back. As the client I'm the one who should be making this amount of mistakes or errors not the professional. It was disappointing with how involved I need to be in the editing process it really made me concerned as to whether or not they proof read at all.

However, process was smooth form initial meeting to discuss what package is for me based on the experience and what I am looking for. I was assigned to some who is more knowledgeable in my industry and type of work I do. I had to do some homework on my end and provide some information, type of work , achievements to give a little background on myself to help get started. Then I had a consultation with Rebecca and the meeting went very well. She is professional, excellent listener and really did a fantastic job listening to what I was looking for. I was really surprised how well Rebecca had understood what I was looking for based on my experience. Not sure what I was expecting to be honest given that its the first time I looked in to a service for professional resume writing. When I received the first draft of the resume and cover letter I was absolutely impressed how she took 5 pages and brought it down to 2 pages. The wordings, the objectives and the skills added, and the formatting was fantastic and very professional. Rebecca amplified the descriptions to the next level and reading the resume was smooth flow. The cover letter also was very professional and smooth flow. Everything fell into the right place of describing from beginning to the end. There was no editing required I was very very impressed with the services. After seeing the results it was well worth what I have spent. I am frustrated with the service I had received from CareerHD. I had a writer (Rehannah), where she did not provide any services, did not listen to what I had requested, and the resume was poorly written. It looked rushed with a a lot of grammatical errors, and incorrect information. She had mixed up my previous employment, used the same sentences in every job description, and even spelled my name incorrectly several times. When I had brought it up, she was extremely apprehensive to edit it.
I had paid for a premium service, and all the details along with the customer service was awful. The service was well over $400 and I had to ask several times, for certain items that were part of the package, I have yet to receive.
When I had mentioned all the errors via e-mail, not only were they apprehensive to assist, they were frustrated, that I would ask for a re write after the first time; I received a .pdf of the resume that I had originally provided them.
When I had asked for a re write, I received a “revision” , however it was the same experience that was copied and pasted for all of my employment experience.
They had a guarantee, if you do not receive an interview after 4 months, they will get a new writer and rewrite your resume.
They did not honour that.
I do not recommend CareerHD.
